WHEELMAX.COM reviews (they suck ass!)

I am interested in hearing what anyone elses experiences have been with Wheelmax. My personal experience is a bithc. I ordered my wheels on a monday, and they told me they'd be shipped right away and i could expect them in 4-5 days, which doesn't take a math genius to figure out that is friday or saturday.
Friday comes... no wheels. I figure maybe saturday then. Saturday comes... still no wheels. I figured since i found out UPS doesn't deliver on weekends, that they'd come monday. Well Monday comes, no wheels. A call to the customer service department, and they tell me they should come today. Well i watched the UPS man drive by my house, and guess what. NO WHEELS!
I am fed up with Wheelmax, and their bad customer service. I called them again just now, and i got the run around again. I gave the lady my info AGAIN, and she tells me "we have no info on your shipment date right now, did you place your order on Thursday?"
"No i didn't place my order on thursday, i placed it on monday, you said 4-5 days, its now been over a week. Where are my wheels?"
"We have a lady working on updating our shipment stuff now, call back tomorrow and we can give you an exact shipping date"

WTF is up with this, :wtf: :wtf: Its a load of BS. I live hours from vegas, maybe i should drive down to there damn wearhouse and pick up my wheels myself since they obviously can't ship them.

if they shipped it via UPS ask for a tracking number. you can then check that online... But I'm sure you know that.

Sigh... yeah, I can't even weasel a f*@king tracking number out of them!
Nate where are you? I'm sure we can add your story to this thread.

THEY CAN SUCK MY DICK! i live in hawaii. i told them, id pay extra for air instead of boat... "we dont send by air, only boat" im thinking wtf. then i called a week later, "it should take 4-6 weeks and sorry, no tracking number, oh btw, we just sent them out yesterday." 4-6 weeks go by.. no rims, fucken 2 months later, i get them. what pissed me off more is i go back on their site, its on sale, local shops have the rims in stock and on sale for $1200 (i got them for $1500), and since other rims went on sale, i could have gotten volks for the same $1500. boy wheelmax can seriously suck my dick. and they have two place, nevada and florida. wouldnt it make more sense to ship from nevada to hawaii instead of florida to hawaii? god dawm some people are stupid.... ARGGHH have a nice day :) - chris

My experience (paraphrased):

- I order wheels & tires from Wheelmax.com Thursday June 12th.
- There is a problem verifying my shipping address with my debit card, but after several calls we supposedly get it straightened out. I am told my wheels will ship out Monday June 16th and to call back Tuesday to get my shipping date.
- Call customer service on Tuesday June 17th, was told "Yes, your wheels shipped out yesterday. They will arrive on Friday June 20th via UPS."
- Friday comes and goes. UPS man drives by. I flag him down, sorry no package.
- Call that day to inquire again about shipping information. Customer service rep takes my information down and says she'll call me back. Does not call back that day.
- Monday June 23rd I call Wheelmax again because I have no idea where my wheels are. Reach a customer service representative who tells me, "no your wheels did not ship out until Friday June 20th. They should arrive sometime this week" Ok obviously someone lied to me, but I grudgingly accept this and go about my business.
- About an hour later I see a message on my machine that I hadn't seen before. It was from several hours earlier. It was the C.S. rep that I had talked to on Friday, saying that there was a problem with my shipping address. I reach her extension, and she informs me, "Your wheels have not shipped out yet. There's no way they could have shipped out. I have your information right here."
- I insists she stay on the line while I call my bank (on my cell phone) to confirm shipping information. When I am done she says she will have Frank (who I dealt with in buying the rims) try to process my order again. I was told I would be called as soon as this occured. I was never called.
- I call again today June 24th, and am told that my wheels "should go out today." I am told that I can call back tomorrow for my anticipated shipping date.

Strikes:
1.) Wheelmax does not provide UPS tracking numbers. The operator I was bitching at informed me that this was due to customers in the past changing shipping addresses directly with UPS, and Wheelmax receiving a bill for the difference.
2.) You cannot take anything they say at face value. Understand that it is very likely you are being deceived.
3.) Their phone system is infuriating. It randomly hangs up on you when you are holding for specific extensions. The music is bizarre to say the least.
4.) Do not let them get off the phone with you. They are difficult to reach, and will not call you back (with one exception, which was 3 days later).
5.) While Wheelmax is open evenings and weekends, their customer service is only available weekdays till 6pm.
6.) They made no effort to contact me when there was a problem.

The rest should be obvious.

we should make a long ass flame and email it to them :) sucks to hear nate0123 im glad u were persistant though, i wasnt :( heh.. peace - chris

Oh, and I thought all I had to worry about was getting my wheels. Crap!(argh)

I ordered my wheels and the customer service was great. The only thing was they didnt put the lug nuts in the box. So I bought lugs and they sent out lugs for free.

ok so, considering my luck, all I have to worry about is
- getting my rims
- getting them re-balanced
- buying another set of lugs so I can mount my rims

My frined got wheels from them and the balancing on them sucked, but other then that it was ok, My friend is from Jersey.

Plus you should beware fitment. You should not assume you can buy every wheel they suggest as a fitment.

They had all sorts of offsets, I asked for the +45mm

I really wished there was a thread like this before I ordered my rims. They told me 7-10 days and now its a possibility that I might have to wait 2 months?!? I talked to a customer service person and she said that it was shipped on the 18th thru usps and it should be here by the end of this week. Couldn't give me a tracking # or anything. If its not here by friday I'm gonna give them hell.

**** WHEELMAX!! I'm still waiting on my 4th rim!! It's been 1 week already.

I ordered my rims sometime in the first week of June and everything went well. The guy told me that they sould be here in like 4-5 days. On the 2nd day I get a call back saying the tires I ordered would be too big to fit on the P5 so we changed that up. On the 5th day, no rims. I figured that the 2nd day threw everything off a bit. 6th and 7th day, still no rims so I call Wheelmax and I sit on hold for exactly 1 hour and 2 mins. I finally get a hold of someone and they tell me that the rims weren't at the Las Vegas warehouse and they are comming from Miami and it'll be here in like 1 more week. That week passes by and no rims. 2 days later I have to pick up the rims at UPS only to find out that I got 3 rims and a box of lug nuts. I call Wheelmax again and they told me things like that happen a lot and it's UPS' fault. 2 days pass and I contact Wheelmax and I actually get a tracking number off them. We both come to find out that the rims were delivered to some city 5 hours away from me and someone recieved and signed for the rim!! I contact UPS about this issue and it's been another 4 days and they are still doing an investigation. After recieving the run-around between both companies I finally say **** it. I called Wheelmax and demanded (under instructions from UPS) that they send me a replacement while they dick around and try to find the other rim. Wheelmax then says it's not their fault and they can't send out a replacement unless someone pays for it. I want those **** heads to pay, but they want UPS and UPS is saying no, it's Wheelmax's responisibility. So now if I don't recieve my rim tomorrow I'm going to the Better Business Beareau and I'm getting this s*** settled between all of us here that got ****** over and Wheelmax!!

whao good service? thats good to hear guys. good luck dakine ;) hopefully you arent the unlucky one to get fuc*ed over. wut did u order??? - chris

Heh, at least i'm not the only one getting bad customer service from them...
I agree, i'd be down for writing one long ass flame and sending it to them. Does snyone know what needs to be done to file a report with the BBB?
