Me too!@!

FedEx showed it getting delivered to my house still today!

and, i'm not taunting, i've already had this installed and sold it when i was serious about selling the car

Now, i've come to my senses and realized it needs this ECU no matter what, even if i do sell the car

So...random misfire code coming up on the new motor...that is the root of my idling problems...from what I have read there are many things that cause this...been reading for about the last hour as there are a TON of threads on it...so far I have replaced the spark plugs/cleaned the MAF/cleaned the EGR...next up I am doing the plugs/coils with the other ones I have sitting here to see if that helps...

If none of that works out, then I will most likely be back to searching...

Coils are probably your culprit. Had the same problem a week ago and new plugs and coils fixed it. Actually the plugs fixed it but I got new coils just in case.

I guess searching ECU is too short, what does an MP3 ECU do for a stock P5-stick? Help it blow up sooner? ha

I watched a ton of smoke roll out of the exhaust at start-up this morning, so I laughed...

That is what I am thinking...the new motor I KNOW...lol...has been out of the car for 5 weeks now since Seneca took it out...and he said he had not done the plugs/coils while he had the car, not to mention they look a bit old...hopefully this will be an easy fix since there are three sets of coils/plugs sitting at the house...

makes the powerband a lot smoother and increases both hp and tq by a few.

Look at Spicy's dyno chart in his FS thread...it will show you the smoothed out powerband that you get...IIRC it adds a bit more power as well when paired with a few mods like the VICS removal...

yeah, gives a little more power, but, the biggest benefit is the smooth powerband

As well as allow the car to pull harder to redline.

It is butt dyno approved

For the cost of a reflashed ECU, there is no better mod that gives the same sort of gains

Thanks for the info...

My car seems to pull best around 4k, I'm too scared to take it anywhere near redline, I usually shift at 4500.

I doubt I would ever do that mod, I'll likely need a new engine soon, but I was sure curious...

I picked up an MP3 ECU about two weeks ago. I really noticed a much smoother powerband, more torque and a few more ponies. It just pulls and pulls. After I installed it I went around the block then got right on the highway and actually giggled to myself how much harder she pulls now. Worth every penny.

Just be careful with that kick plate, it's sharp as hell. But you know that.
