What have you done to your P5 today?

^^^Dang...it is $2.19 here...

Just drove it home...gonna be posting up some exhaust vids of the Speed3 setup when I get a chance...probably tommorrow...now it needs to be cleaned again and take all the crap out of it...

That doesn't sound too bad. I think 93 is around the same price here as well. I just honestly cannot wait until this puppy is boosted. I have the last of my goodies coming in thursday and I'm going to get the wideband o2 bung welded onto the corksport exhaust and the oil return fitting welded onto my brand new oil pan as soon as the bung and fitting come in this week. Oh and the MSP mani, turbo etc came in yesterday from metallic. I'm stoked!!

Psh. You have nothing to worry about. The MSM nets me around 22mpg on average. I fill up about every 3rd day.

just got email conf. that i'm an idiot.

I sent my home addy as shipping address to spicy, so, no MP3 ECU for me tonight as noone is able to sign for it today.....

I am waiting on my JDP CF splitter now...also need to get the MSP 3.5 front lip painted...gonna try to get that dropped off tomorrow if he has time to do it...

My OBX header will be for sale probably by the end of the week. I'll put up a FS thread once I swap it for the stock mani but is anyone here maybe interested? Thought I'd give my P5 homies a jump on it

You're telling me. I'm going to be boosting soon. Boost + 93 octane = negative balance in the bank.

Not really as everyone else said you get better gas mileage....highway with my msp when it was modded as far as I got it I saw upward of 37-38mpg highway, I think I squeaked over 500 from a couple tanks on trips up north

All I know now is 16-18mpg out of my 1.3 now sucks a lot.

What Korey said. Most modded MSPs get mileage I'm jealous of in the P5.

I think it has a lot to do with your tune.. I think my P5 was a bit on the rich side (though I had no way of telling)

I'd get about 26 mpg if I drove it easy, or 26 if I drove it really hard.

there is a sweet spot there. Just beating on the car probably isn't the best option for fuel mileage, but neither is babying it. Think of it as riding a bike: you can be in too high a gear: Low RPM, but REALLY high effort, or in too low a gear with very high RMP and low effort, but very energy consuming

Looking for solution on new rear brakes dragging

Just installed new rear pads & rotors on 2002 Protege 5.

Brakes are dragging. Any ideas??

Did you turn the rotors?

there is a adjustment on the rotors that takes a 4mm (IIRC) hex key to adjust. It's under a bolt, take that out and you should see it.

I turned my rotors without taking my wheels off, just jacked it up high enough to get under there.

did you lubricate the caliper slider pins (both the fixed and the un-screw-able ones)?

EDIT: Also maybe try disconnecting the e-brake cables on the calipers to make sure that nothing's holding them shut.

Aaaaaand make sure you didn't tighten down the adjusters on the back of the caliper too tight. I always would turn them until they were snug, then backed them off 1/4 - 1/3 turn.
