What have you done to your P5 today?

got the car back from my guy today with the new clutch and lightweight flywheel in. cant wait til the break in period is over then its (drive) time.

side note: my buddy let me drive his g8 gt after we installed his cai.....god proteges are slow as hell.
 
My exhaust fell off today. Well its still on my car...but its hanging on the rear suspension area right now. Im soo pissed. I was started my car up this morning and was like WTF is that sound. Whipped out the flashlight and went to look. There it was hanging from the axle. I went to take a closer look. theres about a 1 inch crack right after the flange going to the rear. The rest of my piping is sagging starting from the second cat. Im soo pissed. Thats what you get for going to a cheap exhaust shop.

that sucks....i hate cheap shops that half ass things....i've had to deal with 2 on repairs
 
Fixing to go pull the head and bring it to the machine shop to make sure it isn't cracked...I just hope this is only a headgasket problem...
 
Got my BC's installed! No pics yet because I am a little disappointed

Problems:

1. They don't work with the GT Spec rear strut tower bar. The studs are not long enough. GT Spec bar will be up for sale soon. Also looking to buy non-cut rear side interior panels.

2. My rear endlinks look to be too long, even though they are new OEM P5 endlinks. They are causing the oem RSB to hit the 4 link bar thingy. It is supposed to sit above that bar, right? lol.

3. I can't lower the rear much more (barely tucking tire) as the bottom of the threaded shock body will hit the e-brake line.
this sucks! i have the gt spec rear bar as well....(headshake

I'm going to be picking up some laser blue touch up paint, the lip is chipped in a few spots

I'll go ahead and paint the grille too while i'm at it

any update on your deal?

Just called the salesman (cell phone). He said that I'm tentatively approved, with certain conditions. He's not at the store yet, so he's going to call me when he gets there and give me the additional details.
 
That's what I'm thinking. He asked the question "are there any other cars you may have been considering?" That instantly makes me thing something's fubar'd.
 
Well if they wanna jerk me around I'll just say to piss off and I'll bop around in the Protege some more.
 
Drove it to work today. I've been carrying around a rag to wipe off the oil on the hatch after every time I drive, LOL.
 
So...any idea on how to get the head bolts off...anything special need to be done as to not break them or anything...

Also...timing belt...how do I get it loose off of the pulleys...any pics...or how to's...I looked but come up empty...
