What have you done to your P5 today?

Thx, Now I am on the hunt for components for the front, new sub, and either 1 or 2 amps to run everything. Wanna try some fiberglassing in the back for a sub enclosure/amprack. Still trying to decide on what brands I want to go with..........

Yeah, mine gave me problems on the left side also. Probably didn't help that I only had two of the tools but I was able to finesse it out.....30 minutes later.

New deck is looking good.

Hey now !! Mine might still work !! The plug for the harness is still connected on the back.........I just dont know how you would turn it on...or insert a cd.......or change the station...or......yeah I pretty much hosed it up. I agree.

Mine gave me hell on the right side! I had to removed my face plate off of mine and use flat head scred drivers on the tabs to get it out. The difference between his and mine is that mine still works!

I spent lots of money on my P5 today.

ACT HD street/strip clutch, Fidanza flywheel, SS braided clutch line, Double DIN indash AM/FM/CD/DVD FULLY MOTORIZED 6.5 TOUCH SCREEN, 2 headrest monitors and all the wiring.

Trying to figure out how the indash entertainment system and headrest monitors fit in with the clutch/flywheel combo. lol

Wow, thanks a lot. They go great with the car.

I suppose there's no such thing as a thread jack in this thread, so I'm good :D

PS: They go on the outside, right?

Yeah, it kinda looks like I totally snapped and started just bashing the s*** out of it doesn't it ? I almost did but managed to calm myself down a bit. Didn't help though since in the end I had to rip it apart anyway.........

Clutch smoked on christmas eve and the CD started skipping all CD's last night.

I ordered the drive train parts in the morning and the stereo stuff in the evening after getting home from getting a new CD that I couldn't listen to in the car.

no, it's fine...i was kidding you...i know how much you loved taking it off and on!! have a safe trip!

Whew!

Just got back. Had a great time, up to 330am this morning. Getting to old for this!

Spent the entire day doing turbo prep-work. I finally took out all the parts and figured out what was needed and what wasn't and organized everything for easy access. I also added the one-way check valve and relocated the coolant loop (as well as tightening the belts, again!) but that's all I could do as I needed the car for work today (my truck will be out of the shop today). I worked for about 8 hours yesterday and I have next to nothing to show of it other than an organized garage. I ended up spending about two hours cleaning the BPV as the previous owner allowed water to get into it and rust the spring. Needless to say, the valve wouldn't open so I had to clean out all the rust/water/grease. A dremel with a steel brush bit worked best and now the valve opens with vaccum so everything seems to be in working order although it may need a little more grease as I took off a lot when I was cleaning it. Even so, tonight begins the turbo build...

Mine are applied on the inside.

Argh! There is always a hurdle to get over in any project. Something unexpected pops up everytime to put a hamper on your fun. Enjoy the build.

I see.....never fails that when one thing goes, another is right behind it. Sorry to hear about your wallet, but looking forward to the pics....as usual.
