What have you done to your P5 today?

I'd say probably 107-110whp. But that's talking peak HP, your different mods gained power in different areas of the powerband.

so is that good or bad that its different areas? :-\

how much hp at the crank you think?

different areas is normal. Different mods do different things. And who cares what you make at the crank? The crank only turns the tranny, diff, and wheels all of which tend to 'syphon' off some of that power (along with parasitic losses from engine accessories: alternator, oil pump, water pump, etc).

Crank HP is pretty much useless. To know what your CAR as a whole is making, you want wheel HP (preferably on a wheel dyno so it takes into account the weight of the wheels and tires)

I painted all of my badges black, bought roof rack filler caps, decided to smoke the turnsignal/reverse light on my tails, and am now deciding whether to buy my HIDS or not. I also washed her, and took some pictures. I want those DDE's as well. Dammit i need a better job.

i know that i am j/c so I can get a rough guestimate when looking at other cars engine specs since it only give crank hp. so now, anyone got an est of crank? :-\

EDIT: and yes i know each car loses a different amount b4 gettin to the wheels but thats why i said rough. j/c

figure about 15-20% driveline loss so with an assumed 115 whp, from 132.25 to 138 at the crank

a p5 all stock gets 130 at the crank, there is no way all three of those only added 2.25-8hp... it gets about 98 whp stock so how could it add more whp than hp? :(

Theoretically the P5 gets 130 at the crank.. I don't think anyone has checked it, and we all know Mazda has been a bit optimisic in the past on HP figures :P

because mazda used the old sae measurement, which is an inflated number. remember when there was the rx8 hp scandal? same time as the p5 came out. it wasnt over rated, it was just before the 2005 revamp of the definition of the horsepower standard

Old SAE measurement or not, there are plenty of cars from the same era as our cars that dyno more WHP with the same BHP. It's sad that 130hp is an inflated number :P
