What have you done to your P5 today?

Do you have the MSP ecu? I know for a fact the P5 will run without a MAF in a seriously degraded mode. I know because when I trimmed some excess off my intake, we forgot to plug the IAT and the MAF back in, and it ran in 'limp' mode. We have that wonderful Mitsubishi MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor as a backup / to work in tandem with the MAF.

And yes, his car wouldn't start at all until we got the pipe hooked back up.

So that's what that mitsubishi sensor is hooked into the vacuum system near the cruise control???? I've always wondered :D

Yeah, MSP ECU. I'm gonna go write down phone numbers for junkyards and then head over to the shop that has my car to see about the piping.. I couldn't really check on the piping aside from what I could access from under the hood... didn't have tools on me.

That sucks to hear that it's not running, after you've waited this long to get it back. Here's to a speedy recovery! (cheers)

Yep, that's our 1 Mitsu part lol

Gotta keep those mitsu electrical parts to a minimum *shudders at the thought of having DSM-like unreliability*

congrats on the moderator position :)

now we can all hate you (dark)

If it's broken, it could be. Mine wasn't broken, just out of the intake stream. Wierd that there was no CEL tho

Chris.....sorry to hear man! You have been waiting so long for this day and now this...Best of Luck with the troubleshooting!

Hope you get it running again Kansei! I'm hoping to go turbo by the end of summer. But today i washed it and shes look pretty again!! I just need to get seom rubber for the new wheels and I'll be set. I also have a set of tribute washer fluid nozzles on the way, and HIDs on the way. I spend to much money on this car :(

Why change to Tribute nozzles? How are they better or different?

'twas the primary oxygen sensor. It worked fine before the accident, so the body shop is having my insurance adjuster come physically look at the sensor to see if they'll cover it. I doubt that they will

Just got my new wheels here are the before and after pics
