What have you done to your P5 today?

I tried playing with my IC piping a little more because something is rattling at high speeds - it about drove me crazy going 72 mph for 5 hours back to school. Unfortunately the annoying metal on metal rattle is still there so I guess I will have to wait for a nice weekend and then off comes the bumper cover (freak)

It's no problem. My car is quite low and I don't have an issue with "servicing"... I can still maneuver the jack underneath the car, stuff like that..
That's good to know. I am considering Tanabe springs, which are about a 1" drop. A larger drop with stock wheels looks slammed to me.

well the p5 has a list of things to get done...but that will all go into the back burner if i get this e21 I am eyeing right now....i need to find relativly cheap insurance but with good quality *sigh*

i drove mine to toronto to let it see all the pretty p5's with black headlights and no roof racks to let it know what it'll look like soon

Well, not the MP5, but the MPV: I finally finished my subwoofer project!

(alright) (drinks) Congrats on getting back behind the wheel of your beloved!!!

**edit** I haven't driven the P5 the last two days. :( Drove the wife's van 'cause she needs gas (gas light came on when the needle was at 'E'!)

Foolish - nice work you have done to your family hauler!!

They don't have time to even look at the car until thursday... I'm trying desperately to source the intake air temp (not the IAT.. the little black plastic one "air charge temperature sensor" or whatever the proper term is) locally so I can get my car back.. this rental is costing me out of pocket over 60 dollars a day, and that's after my insurance pays their 50 dollars a day...

check your IC piping.
I didn't bother checking it because 1. it was fine for the first couple miles and 2. the car won't start.. at all, as I said before. The starter cranks and nothing else happens.. no combustion, the tach never moves, etc.

Did it stall while you were accelerating? I've seen them blow off more or less randomly. If it's at the shop and they'll let you look at it, check all the wiring harnesses, wires, etc, just make sure they hooked everything back up right.

Stupid work blocking the buttons. No edit ftl.

Meant to include that I saw it happen on Velocifero's MSP. Blew the hot pipe off the intercooler and it wouldn't start until we got everything hooked back up.

Just wouldn't start at all though? I can drive back to the shop where it is to check it out, that's no problem.. but I did open the hood and checked the following:

  • intake air temp sensor (broken)
  • MAF + wiring for MAF
  • coolant temp sensor
  • sensor thing near the coolant temp sensor (little black box)
  • plug wires
  • crank position sensor
  • cam position sensor
  • all three oxygen sensors
  • radiator fan plug
  • gas level (at more than 3/4 of a tank)
  • CEL: none
didn't check:
  • IAT
  • VTCS/VICS solenoids
  • vacuum lines
  • charge pipes
