I wish I could get one of those. With my turbo kit going in and all I'll probably need all the warning I can get. Too bad those things are illegal in VA and cops will charge you out the ass if they find you with one (even unplugged in the glove compartment, I believe)... Well hopefully my grocery-getting wagon won't get too much louder so the cops will continue to ignore me...

magnum - thanks for the heads-up... guess i'll find out if i have a problem once everything gets installd. i heard these were better than the gates belts, so we'll see...

Yeah, I heard the same and that's why I went with them myself. I don't know why I keep getting the squeaking, I mean belts should stop stretching after a certain point but it seems that after about 2 weeks or so, it comes back. Maybe I have a tensioner problems or something. Either way, 4 or 5 turns on each tensioner should help for the time being...

Installed Rockblocker Yellows on the fogs, and my Carolina Mazdas logos...finished up the oznium lighting in the footwells.
Just have to order the lighting for the back seat area.

You can if you got the $$. Head over to Richmond Performance Modifications in Richmond. You tell them Josh sent ya and they'll hook you up with a stealth system.

haha...theres a black market for radar detectors. I want a stealth system in my car...too bad its not fast enough to justify the price.

Yeah I know lots of people who have "active" detectors (and lots of them have been caught for it too). I thought about getting one of the passive or "undetectable" ones but then I saw the price, WOW! I'd have no problem ordering one, it's just that I don't want to pay that price. Even so, I think a lot of these new "undetectable" ones can now be detected. I guess I'll just have to stay within "reasonable" speed, haha...

Easier said than done...especially once your turbo'd.

what are some good detectors? i was told before that the Valentine One was the only one worth buying...but its like $400-$500 :-\ I can do a lot with that money...and idk if there is much of a point because once the thing goes off the cop already has your speed :-\

One of my titanium white head light bulbs went out... hooray :( My mystery suspension noise is back as well.

I just paid for my MSP welded LSD.

Woo hoo! new clutch, light weight flywheel, SS clutch line & a limited slip diff all being installed in the near future.

The Escort Passport 8500, the Beltronics Vector line, etc. they are all great ones. For radar, no you get really decent warning with them. For laser, yeah if you hear "beep beep! laser alert!!" you're screwed if you're speeding.

if youre looking for a good radar dectector check out a k40. (300)
as far as hidden goes look at Calibre by K40. its 1900 but well worth the money

I can't wait to get my massive exhaust leak fixed to see how drastically quieter it makes things :P
by exhaust leak youre talking about your turbo right?
my friend was talking about havin a big exhaust leak, but he was talking about his turbo lol

nah there's actually a big exhaust leak. it goes away when the car is under boost and pretty much when everything heats up and expands it goes away.. so you basically hear it whenever I'm below 0psi and it's actually loder than the turbo spooling. I gotta take the turbo back off to install the coolant lines, so my p5 will be getting more fresh oil and coolant this weekend :P
