put my radar detector in for ther first time today after recieving a BS speeding ticket..i guess ill see if it works
I wish I could get one of those. With my turbo kit going in and all I'll probably need all the warning I can get. Too bad those things are illegal in VA and cops will charge you out the ass if they find you with one (even unplugged in the glove compartment, I believe)... Well hopefully my grocery-getting wagon won't get too much louder so the cops will continue to ignore me...TreFlip999 said:put my radar detector in for ther first time today after recieving a BS speeding ticket..i guess ill see if it works
Yeah, I heard the same and that's why I went with them myself. I don't know why I keep getting the squeaking, I mean belts should stop stretching after a certain point but it seems that after about 2 weeks or so, it comes back. Maybe I have a tensioner problems or something. Either way, 4 or 5 turns on each tensioner should help for the time being...MyZmZm said:magnum - thanks for the heads-up... guess i'll find out if i have a problem once everything gets installd. i heard these were better than the gates belts, so we'll see...

Yeah I know lots of people who have "active" detectors (and lots of them have been caught for it too). I thought about getting one of the passive or "undetectable" ones but then I saw the price, WOW! I'd have no problem ordering one, it's just that I don't want to pay that price. Even so, I think a lot of these new "undetectable" ones can now be detected. I guess I'll just have to stay within "reasonable" speed, haha...meinp5 said:haha...theres a black market for radar detectors. I want a stealth system in my car...too bad its not fast enough to justify the price.
