What have you done to your MSP today?

ropped my motor off today at the machinest to get bored and the head reworked. Should be done in a week. Trying to keep myself and mnd busy.

the city of columbus finnaly plowed my street last night, left a 2ft icy mound between my drive way and the road. I took one look and called off work.

Well I hit 50,000mi today, time for some new gear oil. Picked up AMSOIL, can't wait to feel the difference.

ive been thinking abou doing this here soon. i have 168000 miles on mine and no idea if the tranny oil has ever been changed. i just dont know which type to get. everyone i know says syncromesh. i plan on doing this, an oil chnage, and seafoam all in the same weekend. anyone have anyexperience with seafoam? i have never done it before.

and i think i may wash the msp today and do a photoshoot with a couple of locals

AND would you believe it has been my daily driver since I drove it off the show room floor 6yrs ago, all original parts minus all the bolt-ons. I guess I drive like a granny and live a sheltered life. lol

LOL Fair enough... Time for a road trip!

definitely change your tranny oil, you'll notice a big difference in how smooth it shifts. If you can find AMSOIL I highly recommend it. I've heard good things about both Redline and GM Syncromesh so you've got option.

seafoam is also a good idea, quick search and here's a how to

Washed mine tonight as well, and damn did the poor thing need it. I haven't used seafoam before but I do know you should not change the oil until after you dump the seafoam in. Just in case you were planning the other way around.

Hoping I can get my car all fixed up for the Import Wars show this spring. So far I still have to:

-Mount new wheels (and tires when I get some)
-Install FMIC
-Get a decent tune
-Decide if I should polish / powdercoat the valve cover
-Install new boost gauge
-Discover possible vac leak
-Remove / replace Mazdaspeed trunk badge
-Get entire car looked over (spark plugs, motor mounts, brakes, egr valve, etc)

Oh and I should probably clean the engine bay up a little once I'm done. Guess I better get started.

put in the SSAFC and the trunk cage.
