What have you done to your MSP today?

^^ damn , how do you even see 9afr, I assume mine is down there too because it blanks out sometimes from slight fuel cut, but the WB only shows 10.0 as the lowest

and I didn't get that coolant top with my catch can! I want one lol, but they are nice

In that case you may hit 9 afrs too! My innovate WB reads below 9, 9.4 is the lowest i've seen it hit.

My Innovate goes to what ever the lowest is and then starts flashing which to me says I am below that.

I have the MTX-L WB gauge, I think that's what it's called. The newer digital model.

I believe mine is the LC-1 and I have the digital display as well MC10 something or rather

I found the MTX for cheaper than the AEM so
I bought it and im glad i did. I havent had any problems with it at all and it was easy to install, just wire the gauge with power/ground and run the sensor wire through the firewall and into the exhaust. The sensor also calibrates itself, which I consider a convenient feature. And you can recalibrate easily, it came with silver and black trim rings and white and black gauge faces.

ya I'm sure I do, I wish the AEM went down to 9afr but whatever, if I hit fuel cut or at least a lot of hesitation and stumbling then I know it's gotta be that low at least, but luckily it was fixed and runs great once I just reloaded my map into the ssafc, just need to tune a little more for WOT, but at least the car generally runs a million times better and doesn't pull like a slug

why do you wish AEM went down to 9 afr's...you should never be that rich lol

+1 afrs ideally shud stay around 12.5 imo

I think the point was missed... its not that he wants to tune his car to 9afr but to better know how far out of tune he is so he can tune it. After 10 on the AEM WB he could be down to 6afr(not that I think the car would run like that) which is a great deal of difference in the fuel tweaking compared to 9.5afr to get it to that 12afr area.

Hey guys need a quick reply if anyone can help. What's the ngk spark plug part # recommended for stock boost levels? Plan on changeing my plugs later cause I think mine are fouled.

Either way u kno ur afrs are way off so u jist start taking away fuel at the tune until u see afrs start to go normal.. it really doesn't matter if aem went richer then 9 cuz your in no way even suppose to get that rich.. which is why majority of widebands don't read that rich.

N if his base tune or whoevers tuning the car has afrs that rich does not seem to kno what the doin imo

so i AutoXed the car yesterday and the dam thing would start to over heat. I would do my first run, get back in line and do the next one after i would second one it would get really hot. Needle would be at the 3/4 spot on the temp gauge. My first two sets of two runs it was fine but after that the next two sets it was overheating.

outside temp was 103 70% humidity and my buddy with a RX8 was getting Intake air temps of 200

Fan was working and had plenty of coolant. Also have the AWR Rad

could it have just been cause it was that hot out? My 45 min. drive it was fine.

the 45 min drive in that weather cud have made it heat soaked.. n then runnin it hard and then you prob sat in line idleing for awhile before your second run.. but still it shouldn't over heat like that even if the temp is that hot.. but thats my $.02.. is your thermostat new?

So your saying having to much information is a bad thing? If everyone states to shoot for 12.5afr on turbo cars then really a wideband is pointless to read to pig rich 10 and beyond 15afr. After all you dont really need to to now rich or lean just as long as its past a certain point to where you gotta add/remove fuel. Also with that thinking wouldn't a narrow band yeild the same results? All you need to knwo if your runnign rich or lean right.

Is it reallly needed for a WB to read past 10 not really but at the same time is it really needed for it to read past 11? Its just about having as much information to tune with as possible. Now would all the information be needed more then likely not but better to have to much then not enough.

car sat for about an hour before we started doing runs and i would turn off the car when in line. The thermostat is old, changed it in 05.

is a colder thermostat available for our cars?
