What have you done to your MS3 today?

painted emblem, upper grill, and lower grill semi-gloss black and installed my part plaza eye lids. This coming saturday is the big install day...super pumped!

I put the front of the car on jack stands. I was able to put all 3quarts of fluid in the tranny and i think this is because the car was tilted backwards. This was also the case when I put in my MT-90. I measured the amount of fluid that i successfully drained from the tranny and it was only 2.7quarts

Sold of my Tenzo DC-5's to a local friend who drives a MS6. Those wheels have now been on three different Mazdaspeed vehicles.

Found out the Cobalt I want is hard to find without a sunroof and a good price. Might just scrap this season and buy a 2011 WRX which should fit in the same class and prep it for next year. Just have to convince myself not to spend my paychecks.

I had a Magnaflow resonator (12616) welded in place of the second resonator today. My exhaust is stock except for a SU test pipe. I recently had the second resonator removed because I though I wanted the car to have more growl. After a week with the resonator removed I found that I liked the sound when racing up through the gears but not while cruising around town and most certanly not at interstate speed. I searched resonator and found a thread about the Magnaflow 12616 resonator and how it made the car quieter than stock without the drone or burble on downshifts. I had it installed today and love it. The car is quieter than stock and still hauls ass, no drone or burble. The car is also smoother without the vibes created by the loud exhaust and the turbo sounds are more noticable now. A must have for those that want to keep their car a sleeper.

You know you are getting old when you add parts to your car to make it quieter.

With age comes wisdom, and with wisdom you realize that drawing attention to yourself via a loud car sucks. (sssh)

I knew a guy that put a big turbo on an Infiniti G20. Looked pretty much stock. Had an RV muffler welded into the exhaust. Sounded totally badass, minus the loud noise. Just spool and quiet rumble.

I'd like to do what you did eventually. Any pics of the install somewhere?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I didn't add anything w/the Vibrant on mine, but I didn't subtract anything either, except some of the quiet. Its just enough to hear the shift points in traffic w/o sounding ricey. But open her up and its a whole different story.
But frankly, and imo, a 4 cyl sounds a little silly w/open pipes anyway. Maybe its just conditioning?
BTW Cos, I think you meant drone, not drown.
