I think you'd regret a Cobalt, regardless of it's AutoX capabilities. There are ALWAYS better cars.. and the Cobalt is a very lateral move imo

I'm not looking to move up on the car ladder. I'm looking to be competitive, at least a little, at National and divisional events.

Expensive. Plus I need it to be a reliable daily driver that can get some good gas milage. 5 year/100,000 mile power-train warranty is hard to beat. I want a cheap class. D-stock sounds perfect for me. All I can do is wheels and tires, shocks, and a cat back.

got off the phone with my service manager, told him about the yellow paint. his response: Why did they do that? Bring it in, i wanna take a look.

I asked him if i should clean it off, he said NO, not until he knows why it was put there in the first place....

Playing dumb! I would prepare yourself for the king of all back peddling bs responses when you are standing by the car with the service guy. Whatever they tell you will either insult your intelligence or character because they had no right to "think outside of the box" for mod control methods. Make sure they didn't flag you for future warranty claims.
