Nope while unscrewing/bolting it the damn thing broke off..kinda scary. (The bolt was on pretty tight.)Man did you tighten the bolt by accident before you took it off? They are just tack welds so its possible to break just haven't heard of it before.
Yep, easier than changing oil. In fact while you're down there..!Its very easy...
Haha, that just my smartass way of saying that I've done a driving school before to "learn" more about my car's limits. That and practice on the track n' autoX. That and 15+ years of MT experience.` i appreciate your list of mods. Driver mods (stage one!) Do you know where i can pick up a stage 3 driver mod on the cheep? One that can shift worth an F. I have not been able to find one locally
removed my side moldings, it was so hot today in northern california, I just ripped em' right off. No chemicals or anything!
what part of norcal?
where did you get those magents at ?

Were you worried about your motor popping? What year STI did you get?
Well that was one thing that held me back from really modding the car. Also I came from an 04 WRX that was a really tough decision to let go of when I bought the MS3. I really missed the AWD. I've always wanted an 04-05 STI. I picked up an 04 STI bone stock, one owner, 30k miles for $19k. I had to do it.
I did like the MS3 though and I'll miss the utility and stealth factor for sure.

I've really pondered over doing the same thing. Everytime I see that model of STI I stop and watch it go by. It's garish, over the top, and ostentatious. I love it for that reason.
I just paid off my BMW and I owe too little on my MS3 and see the end of my loan in the not so distant future. Starting a new car loan is not something I want to do. I was paying over $1100 a month in car payments before the bimmer was paid off. Paying both of these cars off will make it like my house is free!
Congrats, Lalp!!! I take it you have the 2.0L sedan (mazda3i?)Hi everyone! New to the forum and, of course, a noob in Mazda 3 issues. I just recently bought a 2004 5 speed manual Mazda 3, blue. Basic with A/C. Today i had a viper alarm installed and power locks. Next, I plan on changing the spark plugs, the air filter and an oil change. Very excited about this car. Any tips. Thanks.
