What have you done to your MS3 today?

removed my side moldings, it was so hot today in northern california, I just ripped em' right off. No chemicals or anything!

Burned some time over the Weekend.

Painted the Calipers Black + Mazdaspeed decals...

and got my racing magnets in the mail...

Man did you tighten the bolt by accident before you took it off? They are just tack welds so its possible to break just haven't heard of it before.
Nope while unscrewing/bolting it the damn thing broke off..kinda scary. (The bolt was on pretty tight.)

Its very easy...
Yep, easier than changing oil. In fact while you're down there..!

` i appreciate your list of mods. Driver mods (stage one!) Do you know where i can pick up a stage 3 driver mod on the cheep? One that can shift worth an F. I have not been able to find one locally
Haha, that just my smartass way of saying that I've done a driving school before to "learn" more about my car's limits. That and practice on the track n' autoX. That and 15+ years of MT experience.

what part of norcal?

danville, your in burlingame? its been like over 100 degrees the past week...but I was about to wash it, and I just said to myself "those look terrible, and I literally pulled em off. I'll get some pics up as soon as I wash it again

Took a rolling pin to my rear fenders in an attempt to get them out of the way of my tires.
The 245's are grabbing the fenders on hard cornering.
I don't know how you guys that are lowered and have lower offset wheels are managing big tires unless you only drive in straight lines.

where did you get those magents at ?

A guy that runs in the CCR region with me does the design work and has somebody print them off. You can tell him what you want and he comes up with 3-4 possible designs. They are a pretty sweet deal for only $40 a set, since the other magnets I were looking at (separate cut-outs) were around $60+ for a set.
This guy does good work and I received them in the mail around 3-4 days after payment. Plus he used the one I purchased for the display pic on his website.

The website is new, so the only thing that currently works is the shop online tab, and then you can pay through Paypal.

Were you worried about your motor popping? What year STI did you get?

Well that was one thing that held me back from really modding the car. Also I came from an 04 WRX that was a really tough decision to let go of when I bought the MS3. I really missed the AWD. I've always wanted an 04-05 STI. I picked up an 04 STI bone stock, one owner, 30k miles for $19k. I had to do it.

I did like the MS3 though and I'll miss the utility and stealth factor for sure.

I've really pondered over doing the same thing. Everytime I see that model of STI I stop and watch it go by. It's garish, over the top, and ostentatious. I love it for that reason.

I just paid off my BMW and I owe too little on my MS3 and see the end of my loan in the not so distant future. Starting a new car loan is not something I want to do. I was paying over $1100 a month in car payments before the bimmer was paid off. Paying both of these cars off will make it like my house is free!

I hear you man. No car payment would be nice. My plan is to actually pay this thing off and just keep it for a long time. I also have a Legacy and a Jeep but I plan to drive the STI daily for a couple years and enjoy it until its paid off and then have it as a autox/track car. The fact that many STI owners really don't DD these cars is why there are so many low mileage and still in great condition out there for cheap.

Hi everyone! New to the forum and, of course, a noob in Mazda 3 issues. I just recently bought a 2004 5 speed manual Mazda 3, blue. Basic with A/C. Today i had a viper alarm installed and power locks. Next, I plan on changing the spark plugs, the air filter and an oil change. Very excited about this car. Any tips. Thanks.

Congrats, Lalp!!! I take it you have the 2.0L sedan (mazda3i?)
You did kinda' stumble on the wrong forum though. This thread is for the MS3 (Mazdaspeed3) people to post in. I will put it right for you....

Here's a link to the equivilent N/A forum for our cars.
