What have you done to your Miata today?

Painted the seat brackets last night/this morning. This morning I got both seats installed, everything fits and works except for the back release levers (due to interference with the seat belt receivers) but I don't need that anyway. I mounted the seat belt receivers on the inside support connecting the back and bottom of the seats. Header was installed and torqued down, thank heavens for ratcheting wrenches as two of the bottom nuts are about impossible to tighten due to clearance issues with tubing. Moved valve shims around based on the readings I took previously, however when I measured the clearance after that some of them are still out of whack. I'll have to do those again. The rest of the day was spent removing shingles from the roof for installation of a new roof tomorrow. I am beat.

Gently massaged the suspension... with a 4 1/2" angle grinder.

Took it for a possible last spin last night.
I will say this, it is a much more enjoyable car when you have two cars to drive everyday.

Ah well. I love the ms3.

She was paid off yesterday!

Assembly continues today. I gave up removing the shingles with the garage left and got the roofers to do that which freed me up. Last night after working on my son's Protege I finished up the valve lash adjustment and put the timing belt on along with the crank pulley. This morning I've gotten the 'charger, alternator and all belts back on along with some bits and pieces. Front sway is in place, I have to research how those RB braces I bought are installed to and get those in, then I can put the radiator etc back on and get her fired up.

Washed it, waxed it and showed it to her new potential owners.

They liked it very much it if they buy it, it seems its going to a very good new home and she will be turned into a daily/autocross machine (so basically back the way that I had it) lol

Got everything back together, and she fired right up! Decided not to mess with the sway bar braces for now as I need some bolts. Did the shakedown drive with 5 months worth of dirt on her. Once I got back home she got bathed right, ready for the cruise tomorrow. Those Rivals are sticky, I heard new noises pulling out of the driveway and it took me a bit to figure out it was stuff getting flung off the tires.

Autocrossed... and will be doing that again tomorrow. Man the car feels good. It's so quick, and it just goes where you point it. It is fantastic fun :D

Did an autox school yesterday to knock out the cob webs. Placed 2nd. Car ran great and I remembered how to drive it!

That looks like a great lot for it.

Yesterday's drive was fun. Car ran great the whole way, although my idle was a bit high (at 2,000 rpm). I had adjusted the throttle body butterfly slightly open per something I read about helping reduce idle droop, but I got it just a bit too open. That was fixed today, after I washed off the dust and bugs. I did find out yesterday that straight piped Harleys aren't as fast as they think.

Going on another drive today, this one should be more sedate so the wife is riding along. Can't wait to find out what she thinks of the Recaros. Oh yeah, I installed an inflatable lumbar bladder I've had for a bit in the driver's, it's about perfect now.

How do you "place" at a school? Isn't that sort of like "winning" a track day? :-P

Did some suspension and tire tuning at the autocross today, and we have got the car absolutely hooked up :D

What a great day for it too. Finally an event that wasn't at least a partial wash-out.

My fastest run. There was a lot of finesse in keeping the car pointed the right way.

Yep, didn't look bad, but didn't look like you were really able to attack the course either, as much as just trying to keep the rear of the car from passing the front.

Oh man with some sticky tires you would've destroyed me. The acceleration! I don't think a Miata should do that. :) Looks like a good run too btw. :)

I wish I had thought about it before but I have a set of 949s with RE-11s in my garage. They're only 205s but they would've been better than the DWs.
