What have you done to your Miata today?

Good excuse! Wonder what he's doing these days.

Pictures as promised:

Reroute spacer firewall clearance (I know, kind of hard to see but it's more than with the BEGi spacer):

Sadly, while putting the intake pieces back on I discovered I had trapped the wiring harness going to the coolant sensor between the head and the block when I torqued things down. Loosened the head bolts, pulled that out and retorqued things. I don't foresee any problems as I didn't move the head, just hoping the wiring didn't get damaged. Just goes to show that you need to be overly aware of where everything is, especially when it's been close to five months since you tore something down.

Spoiler alert! More pictures coming, so sit yourselves down.

Finally got a small side project finished up, although it looks like I'll have to repaint it once I get some more spray as I got a couple of chips just installing it:

As I've said before I'm not a blingy type, while I liked the Zoom lid I didn't want all the polished metal shining at me. Someone on another forum said, why not paint it? Why not, indeed.

Got the driver's Recaro installed, and it fits just the way I had hoped. All that's left is to attach the seat belt receiver, I have an idea about that.

Dropped my JR header off at the local welding place, they are cropping off the EGR tube completely as well as moving the O2 bung I'll be using for my wideband. Whoever put it on in the first place had it sitting at about the 11 o-clock position and with the MTX-L I'm using, the wire coming out of the unit would be rubbing on the tranny tunnel.

Fabbed up the passenger seat brackets this morning. Watching the grandson, once the wife gets home I'll run a few errands including picking up my valve adjustment shims and some fasteners for the seat belt receivers.

oooooo! Plus the clutch / flywheel combo. This should be even more fun than before.

New windshield is being put in as we speak.

Running down pedestrians again?

Picked up the header, this place does good work and it only cost me $40. I do need to get myself a welder though. Also have the valve shims so I can start getting that done tomorrow after I remove the roof shingles.

damn those are wide.

cleaned mine up saturday

Love your sunburst! If I got another Miata it'd pretty awesome to find a clean yellow NA!

Yesterday a couple friends helped me replace the clutch. Dramatic difference the car drives phenomenally!
