What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Washed a few weeks worth of road salt and muck off of my MS6.......only to come home and look at the weather report for this week. 1" of ice tomorrow/Tuesday, and 6-12" of snow by Wednesday morning. FML

That does suck. My girlfriend asked me last friday why I didn't wash my car (52degrees) but I saw the chance of snow for today and tomorrow. So I held out I do hate all the salt on the car though. Doesn't look like a WWP anymore

Hopefully they won't follow through:p Just kidding, good luck! We have 1" of ice on the ground. And we are expecting 15" of snow tonight into Wed. Should be a good time!

Why'd you have to go and say that... the guy said he will definetly buy it but he is out in afganistan and won't return until june... I hope it sells before then. damn :(

So we got 2" today, 6" expected tonight, and 12-24" Tuesday/Wednesday with 40-55mph winds. Gonna take a little air out of the snows tonight I think. What does everyone keep there 16" SNOW tires at? I have stock 17"s on my V6 so that's not a good guide lol.

EDIT: Can the MS6 even run 16"?

Negative. I asked the same question late last fall, and after several weeks of research, I finally got a chance to try on some 16-inchers. They don't clear the calipers. So I went with 17s instead.

your sure? unless the ms3 has a little smaller brakes, they can fit 16s with spacers.

That's what threw me off: the fact that the MS3 can wear 16" rims and it has SMALLER rotors than my MS6 (in the rear, at least). I never would have thought of 16-inchers if I didn't learn this little factoid. The calipers must be smaller on the Speed3, though. I can tell you that I have 17s on Julie right now and they barely fit over the front calipers.

Enough about the weather already..... like a buncha old men. J/K :D

Finally fixed my leaking exhaust. Swapped out the turbo to dp gasket. It was 20 some degrees and sucked balls but its done. No more stinky exhaust smell when i turn on the defrost. The car finally runs good again. I did not realize how bad it was till now that its fixed. But yeah, exhaust leak can kill power.

16" are perfect for the Mz6 atleast! I know they fit the MS3 because the guy I bought my car from had these on his MS3 before giving them to me.

I think I'll jus guess how much air to take out lol.

What's wrong with -8 with a wind chill of -28 it's be -23 with a windchill of -43 overnite :) at least there isn't 40 mile an hour winds! Cold is ok Wind Sucks!!

balls!

hmmmm....this sounds like something I should do with mine. I get really weird smells when I first start the car....of course, it only happens when it's below freezing in Minot, North Dakota/Planet Hoth.

Yeah, 17" steelies on here too and there's not much room. I'm not sure what the offset is on these things, but it's just enough to make my rears rub like crazy when I have people in the back too. Hopefully going to get them rolled soon.

I got stuck for the first time in my MS6 about an hour ago. We've got about 3-4" of sleet on the ground which is like cold sand, pretty much. Had to rock it back and forth a few times but once I got out of my driveway I was good!

I thought you meant STUCK stuck, as in had to be pushed or towed or dug out! I've had to rock a couple times over the last few winters. Well, maybe I didn't have to, but I was a little scared to just floor it until I melted my way to grip. Today she's safe at home in the garage, since people don't know how to drive when it snows more than 1cm.

Also because I just washed her on Friday and have been keeping her nice and clean.
