Put in the eBay downpipe a few days ago. Love it!!!!

No CELs so far and for 145 shipped not bad at all. Perfect fitment too.

Going to change oil to 5w 40 because im nervous of smoking turbo but idk do you guys think thats necessary?

I knew somebody was going to call me on the pre-2001 J-spec Imprezas. Yes, those were pretty good-lookin'. Not the new ones so much, though. It looks like they're trying too hard.

whether its necessary or not you should do it anyways because its better.

Great car. Wish you could keep it. Wish I could get it. One MS6 is enough for me (maybe too much).

On other news, no more CEL. I suspect something to do with the cold weather that day. I ordered wheel caps. Should be here this week. I need to update pics before the fall colors disappear. Maybe I'll have time to get it washed this week and get pics.

yReed, i never really asked you, its actually KNOCK and you are hearing it?
or just lots of high # KRs reported on the DH?

I regularly see something on the DH, but I don't hear or feel anything. It's very rare that I hear/feel the stuttering, which I'm guessing is knock, I can't really think of what else that might be.

I've been a bit hesitant to seafoam it as well, but I don't really have a place to try it either. My KR behavior has been better recently, but it's seeing mostly highway miles now, I've been putting clean gas in all the time (Chevron premium), have good oil in it, and the Densos (though those have been in for almost a year now). I think the way I have been driving it has helped to clean the engine out a bit, so maybe seafoam isn't a bad idea. I am planning to pick up a catch can at some point and see if that helps to keep things even cleaner.

Hey does anyone know how to have the traction control off by default, I remember seeing a HOW-TO before on it but I cant find anything now. I want to do that as my next mod.

i really hope your car goes to some good hands, honestly? if you lived in cali, i would sell my car and buy yours in a heartbeat!

good to hear its running better, i actually knocked more with Chevron, switched to Mobil premium and i dont get KR as much.
also seems to depend on outside temps for the frequency of KR. I will definitly seafoam at some point soon. i still need new plugs anyway tho. lol

yay, i drive spirited pretty often (not racing, just canyon runs, twisty bits of my daily commute).
sometimes the DSC cuts in too aggressively and i end up understeering quite a bit.

i only really use DSC in the rain.

I drive pretty spirited myself, I guess since I only see or drive the car on weekends, during the week I drive my work car. I actually never use the DSC, only on heavy snow but other than that I try to keep it off.
