What color do you prefer for your CX-5??

Initially I was leaning towards the Soul Red...but as I was getting closer to making my purchase, I concluded that it had too much orange in it for my liking (I would have loooooved a deep burgundy but the Soul Red wasn't burgundy enough for me). I ended up settling on Black Mica with the sand leather interior as I love the contrast and I figure you can't really go wrong with black (though it is hard to keep clean).

What color is your ride??

I picked Soul Red as the best of the limited good colors availiable. I think Mazda needs to get some good colors. Heck, even the cheap Kia Soul has better color options than Mazda

Mine's white. I think it looks the best when seen in profile - really shows the shape of the car off and it stands out at a distance.

It's not my favorite though when viewed from the rear, the bumper looks a little cheap. From the rear, I think the meteor gray looks nice, so does the black. I've never met a car that wasn't a little weird in the back. Tough to style and still be practical I guess - the CR-V for example is much uglier because it tries to gain a few extra cubes of cargo space by the window.

I'm a blue person, and the Sky Blue Mica is my favorite by far, but didn't want a used CX-5, and with the '15 already out I didn't want to lose out on depreciation. So, it boiled down to Deep Crystal Blue or Blue Reflex. But, like you Bon, the BR didn't have enough contrast with it's all black interior and the color is kind of cold to me, while the DCB (almost black until sun hits it) looks posh and rich with it's Sand interior. I also like it in that they seem more rare than all other colors :)

According to Mazda Canada's website....the only exterior color now offering sand leather interior now is White. All other exterior colors only have black leather.
Love that blue and sand, btw....very nice!!

Thank you sir! I'm sorry to hear Mazda Canada is taking choices out of their lineup. But, I suppose that'll make our CX-5s even more rare ;)

I have a 2013 CWP CX5 with black leather that I am trading in for a 2015 CX 5 in soul red. Can't wait to pick it up.

My favourite is black or grey to blend well into the black parts that owner has no choice over. Any other colour results in two disagreeing tones everywhere. Even the small surface of the side mirrors will become two parts, black and red/white/blue/whatever, which looks odd.

Liquid Silver Metallic. I like contrast between sheet metal and windows, and I love black interiors. White is always my preference, but only if non-metallic.

Yep...I've seen that Deep Crystal Blue on the new Mazda 3's and it looks sharp. Had they offered it for the 2014(.5)'s...I would have been all over that. As it stands, Mazda Canada is not offering the CX-5 in Deep Crystal Blue...only Blue Relflex (which I'm not much of a fan for). Love that Deep Crystal Blue though....that's sharp...especially with the sand leather. Surprised that's not offered up here.

Blue Reflex Mica ain't that bad. I had one person comment on mine, "at least it's not silver or gray." Wife's Camry Hybrid is a dark metallic gray w/light gray leather interior.

I couldn't go with any other color than white. The white has a slight glitter sparkle to it and after looking at the CX-5 for a year before purchase it was either white or I wouldn't be happy. The white contrast with the black plastics and all tinted windows looks bad ass. I see other CX-5s on the road and the grays, blacks and blues don't look good at all in my opinion. both guys and girls like my car. Well actually when I pick up chicks they instantly say "I love your car." I asked the dealer why they carry so many grays and silvers. He told me most people buy them so they don't have to clean their cars. I don't want everyone to have the same car as I do but the contrast on the white is the best of all.

Meteor Gray was my second choice after Blue Reflex, but I had to move quick so I took what was on the lot. At first, I was kind of bummed whenever I saw Blue Reflex, but the Meteor Gray has really grown on me. Depending on the light it can look silver, black or sort of coppery. I think there must be some brown in the mix.

I don't think BRM is bad. It would have been 3rd on my list, but the black interior only choice dissuaded me from it.I wished Mazda allowed owners to pick and choose any combination. Oh, and that blue does have some silver in it ;)

My dealer almost talked me into MG, as it was the only 15 they had on lot. But, as I had time to think, and look through Mazda's website, I decided I didn't want a color 7 out of 10 cars on the road has. I like the MG color, though.

I had a red ford explorer and loved the fact it was not a common color so I could easily find it in a parking lot. When I bought my sonata I went with Indigo night blue which was a pretty color but I really missed the eye popping red on the Ford. I paid the premium for the soul red and I can see my car from the far end of a parking lot and every time I see it, especially in the sun when it really shines, I am glad for my decision.

I was torn between the soul red and stormy blue (the 2013 dark blue), I saw the blue with the sand/black interior and loved it. I really liked the two color interior and love the dark blue. I saw a blue reflex on the lot last week and like it too and a friend just bought a white one and it's really nice.
