how are your a/c lines
i would kill for a good pair thats cheap
and go to the doctor a few hundred times if you have insurance

Depending on who's fault it is you could always sue and then buy a Porsche or I would

Seriously?

Sorry about the car man. It doesn't look like there's any serious frame damage, but the bodywork will probably easily exceed the insurance cost. Sucks to lose something you have so much time invested in. What do you think you will look for next?

I'd really love another P5, but good ones seem harder and harder to come by. Plus, I need a new car as soon as possible (I'm a delivery driver, so I'm losing money every day I'm off the road). A WRX wagon would be awesome, but they aren't exactly numerous either. We'll see, and of course, I'll keep y'all updated.

Thanks to everyone for their concern. This community has really served me well since I joined.

To all of the vultures moving in on the carcass of my car: I'm definitely open to making deals, please just wait until I have an update from my insurance company. It should be tomorrow or the next day. At that point I'll start a FS thread with everything that's available.

Update: an insurance rep is coming by tomorrow morning to assess the damage, so I should know tomorrow.

It's killing me too, man! Every day I don't have a car, I'm losing money. I've definitely learned my lesson: rental car coverage is a MUST for me. The rep who was supposed to come today did not get here before I left for work, so nothing is official yet. I am, however, assuming it is totalled. I plan on buying it back to part it out, but please wait until I can post an actual FS thread to start calling dibs on parts. The guy should be coming by on Friday morning.

That being said, does anyone have any experience/advice with a total loss buy-back? I've heard some scattered things, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has actual experience with it.

Sorry to hear about the car. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a total loss, but seeing how low these cars seemed to be priced these days, it may be hard to avoid it. Hopefully you will hear good news though.

Well let me know if you want to buy another P5, I have the same color as you and it's a manual.

I mean, of course I want to, but you're not exactly nearby, and I don't have any way to get there. I also wouldn't really want to go to another state to check out a car if I wasn't sure I'd be buying it. Thanks for the offer though.
Just for curiosity's sake, how many miles does it have?

I'm trying to decide what to do before I negotiate my buy-back, so in order to determine how much the salvage price from my insurer would have to be for this option to be worth it, I'd just like to gauge interest: what parts do y'all want? And give me a ballpark figure of what you'd expect to pay for them, please. Either PMs or posts in this thread are fine.

Heres what im interested in...

Well if you do part i would like the fogs.

Haha, OK i guess you'll have first dibs. Like I said, I'll probably start a FS thread tomorrow once I hear back from my insurance company.

Cool thanks man also hows the lower grill id be interested in that too...and the bronzoil bushings.

Glad your ok and if u sell parts dibs on fogs

Sorry Brian i already called dibbs
