Me and my new MS3 are new to this forum. I am thinking about selling the OEM 18" wheels/tires with 150 miles on them. What is a ballpark value? Please, no offers to purchase yet, I am in the feeler stage.
TIA
Gregg

i know theyr bridgestones (atleast i was told?)
and 18"s brand new like yours, i would say 800-1000

$800-1000, you could get new aftermarket ones.
I would guess $500-700. In my opinion, just keep them as 'spares'

What is the offset and width of these also.....thinking they would look good on a P5. As far as price, a good starting point is to see what they retail for. I honestly don't think anyone will pay retail but it will give you ideas where to start.

Wheels should be 18x7. Offset is 52.5mm (if it's the same as a regular Mazda3).

Depending on the tires, I would value the set around $400-$500.

Tires alone are $200 a piece on tirerack.com

Yeah, for brand new. Once you mount a tire, it's value drops like a rock.

if it's anything like the mazdaspeed protege rims, retail is ridiculously expensive. i think my dealer wanted over 600$ for a wheel.

Friend of mine bent a rim on her mazda3 and damaged the tire. dealer wanted something like 250$ for the stock 17" goodyear and over 300 for the wheel (CDN $)

so those are 18", more exclusive than regular mazda3 17" ... i'd say at least 600$ each retail

I am sure the retail is outrageously high, just thought it would give him an idea as to what the stealership charges. I am going to say between the $400-600 range, like DeanSweet said you can get aftermarket ones for a little more. Another question who is the manufacturer of the MS3 wheels?

How do you figure? I would think that it would increase it's value because it would save someone the hassle/cost to get them mounted and balanced. I can see if the wheel and tire had 10-14k then the value would drop. Is that what you ment, or am I missing something?

same reason a virgin is not called a virgin anymore once she's been mounted at least once =)

It's like buying a new car. Once you drive it off the lot, you just lost 30% of your investment.

Even with only 150 miles, it's still a used tire. Used tires aren't worth squat.

Can you find some sucker to give you top dollar? Probably. But I wouldn't count on it.

I guess so. I didn't realize that 150 miles would drop the value that signifantly...thats all.

I would say you could get ~$750 for the 4 almost new 18's with almost new tires.

However, sell em one at a time for the MS3 owners that just curbed a rim, and your profit margins go up even more, say $250 each?

save them for now, keep them in good condition, and within 1-2 years when all the other speed3 rims get all scrap up, (like those msp ones), then take them out and sell them almost as collector's item (like what's happening with the msp 03.5)

I just sold my old galant wheels and tires 15" cheap rims and dunlops with 20k on them for 300 bucks... cars depreciate, not individual parts... 18" that is a bolt on to a regular 3, Retail that setup is going to go for about 600 per wheel or 2400 dollars... maybe more since dealers have crazy markup... but regardless the bridgestones are good tires, and the rims are nice, if a little narrow. I wouldn't take less than 1600 (400 per wheel/tire). And 150 miles is not a used tire, give me a break.

Congratulations! You found a sucker!

There's no way he's going to get $1600 for the set.

Maybe not, but I agree that 150 miles is nothing on a tire. The depreciation will be negligible. I bet you could get $1200 for the set. That's what I will expect when I sell mine, but I'll wait till spring when people are buying summer tires and wheels.
