I just sold my old galant wheels and tires 15" cheap rims and dunlops with 20k on them for 300 bucks... cars depreciate, not individual parts... 18" that is a bolt on to a regular 3, Retail that setup is going to go for about 600 per wheel or 2400 dollars... maybe more since dealers have crazy markup... but regardless the bridgestones are good tires, and the rims are nice, if a little narrow. I wouldn't take less than 1600 (400 per wheel/tire). And 150 miles is not a used tire, give me a break.

Used 0.0001 miles is still used. Depreciation is also there for individual parts, not just for the whole car.

Bottom line, he will be very lucky to receive $1000 for the 4 wheels + 4 tires, less if there is any damage whatsover.

1000-1200 would be my guess. When the AE edition GTIs were out and the R32s, people were selling those and getting 1000-1200. There's a ton of cheap 18 inch wheels out there. Whether or not the factory MS3 18s are actually better or worse will probably not matter as much. They are usually perceived as better since they are an OEM product. 24lbs isn't that bad for an 18. It's probably middle of the road in weight. Tire weight matters more since it's at the outside edge of the rolling mass. Edge racing lists the weights for their tires. 2lbs tire weight is probably closer to 3 lbs in wheel weight.

I would say you could get ~$750 for the 4 almost new 18's with almost new tires.

However, sell em one at a time for the MS3 owners that just curbed a rim, and your profit margins go up even more, say $250 each?

A Good ball park shot IMO..... I was watching speed6 rims and tires on Ebay and they were going for about 600ish......I would say the speed3 rims are a little more valuable since they are rare for now.... Ill say the most you could get is 1000.... So figure 600-1000ish...... I would just keep them because eventually you will sell the car, and if your planning on buying nice rims like me, you wont want to lose your a$$ on those too, so keep them to swap maybe as a spare, or to trade or sell your car, or sell if you really dont care about them sitting around for a couple years.... You could also sell 1 by 1 in about a year and get a decent dollar for them as mentioned above........

I sold my SVT focus rim/tires on ebay with 500 miles for 750$$$ They should be good for atleast this much..They are not knock offs and though they are heavy,, but they will fit right, likely have near perfect balance, and be smooth..This is unlike some cheaper aftermarket wheel combos in the 800-1000 range..

I see you sold your rims! Congrats, pretty good price, and Im guessing you made a few bucks on the shipping aswell. I was watching the auction to let you know the outcome, and then realizing the usernames were the same, I just watched for fun. I might have put the bin price at 1200 just to see what might happen, but all in all I think you did good. That would be funny if the person bought them for a '74 Explorer! What kind of rims do you have in mind to get???

Thanks. They went for $850, my reserve, for anyone wanting to know. Actually, the buyer is in Puerto Rico and shipping costs $200. The guy knows it will be an extra $10. I think I overestimated the shipping but not on purpose - I hate it when people jack up shipping costs. I was prepared to reimburse any shipping paid over cost.

i was the one who sent you the message about shipping charges. glad to see you atleast met reserve. I seriously considered them.

Everyone is right....(dunno) Well sorta. I remember when the MP3 wheels first started being sold they were going for $600 to $750 with tires. Mostly being sold to P5 guys or MP3 owners who wanted a spare like some of you have suggested. One guy even asked for $1500 for his with the factory Dunlop SP9000's. Of course he didn't sell them at that price, but if goes to show you that since they are still so new, no one really knows. Providing you can afford to do so, I would hold onto them or just sell them as spares to fellow MS3 owners who actually like the stock look.
