Clear isn't a color.

I would assume it would look pretty bad considering all you'd have is dull looking body panels. That's why there is paint in the first place. The clear on top of real paint is a novel idea, it's kind of like scotchguarding your car.

This was done on the Mitsubishi EVO from Sparco...its original color was Blue-by-You, and they cover it in white vinyl....everyone thought they had painted it but it was just covered in vinyl.

seen this ddone on option 2 videos. They made this poor guy vinyl his whole Tuerno white and then port and polish his intake manifold and head...

eh, I can only see 240 guys getting into this.

i seen this on hot rod tv. you can get any pattern printed on it too. Great for race car applications, but for a daily car I don't think I want any part of it.

yup. rock chip = new vinyl

you can't from these pics but I'm sure in real life you could tell it wasn't painted metal, but that's a beautifule color, especially the veiw of the trunk with purples and golds with little green. Like I said though in person, I be that car is covered in seams, a few mistakes around door handles and stuff, and it wouldn't feel like paint.
