Turbo maybe?

So will both gauges fit in that gauge pod on protegegarage? I was thinking about gettin one of those
Yes, they will fit.
Oh and another thing that's been bugging me.. My silly DC turbotimer is measuring boost in hkpa? why do they even bother with that?! anyways I think i remember my max being something like .5 hkpa. Is that around 7 psi? Isn't that stock boost?
0.5 hkpa is about 7 psi, which is stock.

So it would be possible to boost to say 10 psi if I got a boost controller? Would that be safe with my intercooler? What are all the things I should take into consideration when upping my boost? I just don't want to make some stupid mistake and ruin my favorite car ever!

Absolutely not. Your car is running like s*** right? The last thing you want to do is raise the boost.. get your car running well and get a solid tune on that AFC first, and then you can think about going to 10 psi. Although, you should know that even stock boost on these engines can lead to catastrophe, so even at a measly 10 psi you are greatly increasing the risk of blowing your engine.

Most of us would say that to "safely" boost 10 psi you should have additional "supporting modifications" to go along with the additional boost. These include things like upgraded exhaust manifold, ported stock or upgraded intake manifold, bigger downpipe, exhaust, intake, stiffer motor mounts, and preferably an FMIC but your upgraded SMIC should suffice.

Long story short, fix your current problems, maintain it well, and don't turn up the boost if you don't want it to blow up.

I'm sorry to be a party Pooper... But you need to understand that "Safe" isn't a word that you can use with an un modified engine. Anything over 8PSI isn't safe and the further above 8 you go the more likely you are to have an engine grenade a rod.

Okay well I'm not exactly desperate to up my boost, I just thought if it was as simple as getting a boost controller and working with my afc, I might give it a shot. I just want to get my gas mileage back up and have the car a little faster when it's warmed up. My understanding is that the person who owned the car before me was going to put a boost controller in and had already done the new motor mounts and also that was why the exhaust was so open. Like I said, I don't want to up the boost if I risk any hurt to this car, I love this car and it's all I got! I'll look into just getting the wideband and working on my afc tune for now...

Great, I just wanted you to be aware that you cant just set the boost to 20 like a Talon and drive..
