Hey everybody,
This has always been happening, but I thought I'd ask finally. I've noticed that our transmission doesn't like to be driven much in the low gears (1st or 2nd) at low rpms. Say you are driving through a parking lot in 1st and are going slow. If you try to speed up by giving it a little gas, the car will buck pretty bad. If you switch to second, it lessens the effect, but still jerks you around a bit. The solution is to constantly put the clutch in and out, but its a bit tedious.
I've driven an older Mazda MX6 and Toyota Corrola with manual trans, and didn't have the effect to this extent... Is this common? Is it a problem, or just something to get used to? Thanks guys!
