welll i think when we all get our DPs we should connect our bad s-pipes together and make a gigantic beer funnel....and send the pic of us hittin it to mazda and callaway with a little note that says "the only logical use for your "engineered" pipe"

Please can someone update me. Here is what I would like to know right now.

1. Is there a price yet?

2. Is the DP ready or still in test mode?

What he said...also is it a turbo back? Does it have a separated wastegate pipe?

Thanks.

DSMConvert wants the price to be around $230 and not much more...Culver said he is going to try hard to keep it at this price. the pipes will be made next week. they just made the jig and i will be going back there to get my pipe once Culver calls/emails me to come to get it.

the DP being made starts right off the exhaust housing of the turbo, and ends on the first cat. basically, S-pipe + J-pipe. DSMConvert wanted this to be setup so that it's compatible with the Corksport exhaust.

i asked culver if 3" is possible, and he said that with the amount of clearance it's gonna be extremely difficult or nearly impossible without redesigning a new manifold to position the turbo differently.

Is it going to work fine with the stock cat back exhaust?
i'm not entirely sure, i'm guessing that it would since i have stock exhaust and Culver is going to be bolting this thing onto my car first.

Excellent...so let me get this straight...it goes from the turbo to the cats...so the stock cats stay on?

Yes the stock cats stay on. This piece will bolt on to a BONE stock MSP.

The cats are far more restrictive than the s-pipe, going with an aftermarket midpipe would be a much more worthwhile first exhaust mod.

this was designed in mind for people that already either had an aftermarket midpipe or the CorkSport exhaust.

anybody know of someone thats makes just that midpipe? or will this only work with a corksport exhaust?

all the other mid-pipes start where the stock s-pipe ends, thus causing the term j-pipe for the bend at the end. from what I can tell, this will replace the stock s-pipe and the j-pipe up until the cats, which is where the corksport, and only the corksports exhaust starts.
