all the other mid-pipes start where the stock s-pipe ends, thus causing the term j-pipe for the bend at the end. from what I can tell, this will replace the stock s-pipe and the j-pipe up until the cats, which is where the corksport, and only the corksports exhaust starts.
so, the only exhausts that will work with this is custom and cs.....nice, good to think about this ahead of time..

I know j-flo has the stock exhaust on his car still, so it may fit others, but from what they've said, that is my interpretation

yeah i think thats the way it will be..kinda sucks though, for me i will be doing custom, but if someone has a cat back and wants this they still will need to custom fabricate the midpipe.

I think they're making a cat-delete option, or it is a possibility, but noone knows how much extra it will be. I mean, it is just a straight piece of pipe with flanges on each end, it can't be that expensive, right?

incorrect intrepretation....the dp will end at teh first cat as indicated, but will fit cs AND stock exhaust. Remember guys the CS system is setup to fit to the stock j-pipe so the flange is exactly the same...2 spring bolts...so to make a long story short it will fit ANY exhaust that connects at the end of the stock j-pipe....the mid pipe is just a straight piece of tube with flanges on each end...its cake to make if you feel its too expensive to buy, but i dont believe it will be that expensive....on a b****y note, I've had 6 pms in the past 2 days with people stating they are too lazy to read the thread so if i could just send them the info they want. WELLL KISS MY ASS. Jflo and I are working our asses off to get this done, so if you cant even muster up the energy to do a little reading then dont buy! I dont have the time nor the patience to send 6 different people the exact same thing when its all been discussed in this thread. Everyone else has taken the time to read the entire thread before posting question, none of the 6 of you are special so dont expect any favors! Sorry to be an ass, at first i did pm a few back with answers to thier questions, but this is just ridiculous. grr now i need a beer....

So would there be much, if any gain from having this as your only exhaust mod? If so, this would be a good option for those that dont want to mess with their cats or O2 sensor.

production wont be determined untill after the test fit is done, i'll post final prices, specs and production times when culver gets ahold of me...and yes this will help performance even with a stock exhaust...

i don't know about that...if the stock s-pipe was, there's a chance that this one is, too.
The stock one is not separated at the flange.

That's the whole poing of getting a replacement spipe in my opinion the separated wastegate pipe/flange. If not for the AC compressor or the way the turbo is mounted with the stock mani I would've bought this a long time ago. This is the exact flange that will work with our turbo, this dump pipe is actually made for the sr20det guys. Maybe your guy can make something like this while he's at it? Would be so much better.

one question just for clarification:

let me see if i can make this clear enough. some of us want 3". i realize that there is a chance that we may not get 3". are you going to let us know up front whether 3" is going to be available? because if i can't get 3", then i will go with 2.5". just want to make sure the options are going to be clear upfront so that i don't decide to wait to see if a 3" is possible and then end up with nothing. thanks

my apologies about the mix up w/ using an aftermarket midpipe- won't be able to use it (i.e. apexr1 DP) because both the s-pipe and j-pipe are replaced. sorry for those wondering about the cat delete pipe, i forgot to ask while i was at the shop.

and i guess the question has already been answered about the seperated wastegate flange.

and for those wondering about the 3", John (DSMConvert) or i will tell you up front if it is gonna be possible.

also, i just have to say what cool people Culver and his staff are...his secretary is really nice, Mario and Lod are funny and do some really cool stuff on the cars, and they're all nice. I got to see some of their projects and WOW they are good. to see some of their work, go to www.gtfabrications.com. i couldn't thank them enough for putting in time from their schedule to accomadate this pipe they are making. so yes, please be patient and please take time to read some posts for the updated info.
