hey guys, so i just sold off my 93 probe gt .:'(.. sad to see her go, but now i have some money to get my windows tinted.. yay! anyways, just curious if anyone knew of any good places round cbus to go... what would you guys reccomend? and should i go 25 all the way around? i think the legal limit is like 35 in the front... let me know what you think! thanks a lot

legal limit is actually 50% up front.

I know a guy in Akron that does amazing work. I don't know if it would be worth the drive though.

Um... don't know the laws in Ohio but...Here in Miami front has to be 25 and up and the rest doesn't matter. But as you see I have 20% all the way around....hehe I love it.

oh damn....... i thought it was 35.. i am dumb.. anyways... where abouts in akron? im from cleveland so if theres anything up that a way i can just take a trip up, no biggie..... also... nice ride knowledge, thats saaahweet lookin, but the 35 looks good all around, i dont feel like gettin pulled over a lot cuz im too dark up front... but ya let me know mein where the guy in akron is.. and is he good priced? thanks a lot guys!

He does great work...he did Jens Jetta for $120. He only uses Lumar tint. He's also done her dads M5/330ci and her brothers Mazda6. It might take him a few hours and you'll have to sit around forever...but its flawless when hes done.

that sounds like an amazing deal... my brother got his ion redline done for like 120 and he has 2 small windows in the back.. sounds like a great deal! thanks mayne

Yea - he does great work too. I would pay 200 to have him do my car(dont tell him that though) hehe...

I know a Great place In C-Bus..Guy dopes work on all kinds of cars in Mags....I'll get the info for you..and he does it at a good price...Prolly around $150 or so I would guess for the Mazda.

not exactly. the front windshield can be tinted 30%, but if you ask for 30% tint its going to be really dark. you would ask for 70% tint. that allows for 70% of the light to come through. the windows behind the driver do not apply to the tint laws, so you could do 70 on the windshield, 50 on the front doors, and like 1% on the back doors and still be legal. it would look weird, but be legal.

That's what I always thought. I was also told my a police officer that it's pretty much officers disgression. They don't want to pull over a car and walk up to the window and have no idea who or whats inside.

I did my fiances car with 35% all the way around. It turned out really nice and we've never had an issue.

One thing to think about, not sure if anybody's mentioned it...but remember that you will also have to drive at night. The guy that had my msp before me had it limo tinted.....it's 30% or darker not sure exactly, and it is impossible to see out of at night without really good lighting on the roads. So remember that you wont always be driving into sunlight. i have to roll my windows down some times to see if ive never been to where im going.

like i said above, i had the protege 35% all around, never a word said. and i actually had my old intrepid at 20% and never got in trouble for it. but i had a friend that got a ticket and a "fix-it" ticket for his..
