Bush Just ordered the UN inspectors to LEAVE IRAQ!!!! get ready for some ass kicking SADAMM its your time to go bye bye

although i don't fully agree with what is going on in iraq, i think it's time to support our troops. may they all come home safe and may their mental state stay clear and true. and amy they not be subject to chemical and biological agents.

and if we are really going to kick some ass, lets kick some ass quickly and precisely. go in there, snuff the guy, let most of our troops go home, help rebuild the country for those poor people, and get the fugg out.

from what i have been told from the US Coast Gaurd ( one of my customers for there Cellular Phones) they advised me that IF we do go to full out war with Iraq ..we have the capability to Wipe them all out in less then 45 mins!!!!! now that sounds a little off but that would be the all time can-o- whoop ass to level an entire nation in 45 mins

The only thing I don't support is CNN broadcasting every detail about the war on national television. Hello? Do you think Saddam doesn't get CNN in his palace?

I personally don't need to know about the tactics and special equipment we will be using, and neither does our enemy.

i have a freind in the marines, and let me tell you... the things we see on television are NOTHING compared to what they REALLY have to play with.

regarding the 45 minute time frame, that would be to drop nukes on them. if we are to minimize civilian casualty (remember that saddam has placed his troops in with the civilians, much like vietnam, so the enemy is hard to distinguish from civilians), we would have to go into urban warfare. this is scary stuff.

or the best case scenario could be like what happened in 1991 when the iraqi troops simply gave up because they were scared crapless from american military might. they all sort of surrendered. i think if we are to go after saddam, it would cost a whole lot more american troops.

chris, come home safe buddy.

I know they don't tell us everything,

but although we have plenty of troops to destroy any military counter action, we don't have enough to stabilize the entire country and prevent this from happening again.

When will it end. Should we just leave our troops over there as babysitters?

IMO, Saddam is the only stabilizing force in the middle east because everyone fears him. Take that out and we will have to babysit everyone.

This war, if it takes 45 minutes to end, will take another decade to finish.

i don't think saddam is the stabilizing force in the middle east at all. during his war with iran, he was only able to muster a draw even with american support. then his invasion of kuwait was a destablizing action, not stabilizing. people in the middle east do not "fear" saddam. they see it as one of those "you leave me alone and i leave you alone" things. plus, the whole middle east region relies heavily on religion as a source of identity. because of this, they have never really raised more than a finger at saddam because they see themselves as brothers in the same family.

the ones that don't fear him, love him, like you said...making it even harder to take him out of power. I just don't see how this can possibly be a quick in-and-out thing. I hope for the sake of our boys that it is, but I just don't see it.

and if we are really going to kick some ass, lets kick some ass quickly and precisely. go in there, snuff the guy, let most of our troops go home, help rebuild the country for those poor people, and get the fugg out.
This is the single thing that all people that are for or against the war agree on. At least we agree on something.

Soldiers that are in combat in other countries need our support. I know this first hand. When we were in Kosovo, the American public just pretty much ignored the war in Kosovo like it wasn't happening. Lots of people think we are oblivious while we are overseas, but trust me, we are not. We ALWAYS liked hearing support from people in America. It was the only thing that kept us going. I suggest everyone send things to the troops such as your car magizines that you have already read and such. Anything we recieved was greatly appreciated. We had this one woman that always went us stuff. We all wrote to her pretty often also and let her know we were ok and that we were doing a good job.

i just really hope hte commander in chief and his military commanders remember the lessons of vietnam. otherwise, this guerilla-style warfare will:

1) prolong the war
2) increase american servicemen and servicewomen casualties
3) increase civilian casualties (remember, the vietnam war turned ugly at home once people caught wind of the indiscriminant killing of women and children because the troops didn't know who was who)
4) decrease troops' morale because of the seemingly "endless" fight against an "unseen enemy"
5) increase the chances of terrorist attacks on everything "US"
6) decrease the already wavering international support.
7) decrease national support for the war. as of right now, there is still a majority of americans who approve and agree for the president to use force against saddam. as it prolongs, people will get impatient and families would start to want their loved ones back. also, as the war goes on and combatant casualties rise, more and more americans will become restless.

I completely support the troops, but before you begin to think about war and fighting, there is politics.

I support the war, but only if the UN does. I think the world leaders should have a say in this, its their job, not mine to make this decision. Bush is only one of of many world leaders, and personally I don't trust his judgment alone. The UN exists for a reason.

Yes, we're Americans, yes, we're powerfull, but the world does not belong to us. And if this conflict leads to nuclear war, more than just the middle east and America will be affected. Thats why I think this is a global decision.

i know i will get bashed for this but **** it. i don't support this war or the troops who will be fighting it. they are humans and have the choice to fight or not to fight. this war is wrong and any 'soldier' who fights in it is wrong aswell. the reasoning you guys are using is like a german person in the 40's saying they don't support hitler but the guys working the gas chamber in the death camps are alright. its bulls***. i have nothing against the military men and women but when they ignore the glaring facts that say that this is a war of conquest and fight anyway, then **** them too.

The UN exists for a reason.
You are right, it does exist for a reason,........Because we made it.

This conflict WILL NOT lead to a nuclear war. Sadam will use his chemical weapons because he knows he has nothing to lose. The US holds a "No First Use" policy to chemical and nuclear weapons, but trust me, the US will NOT retaliate with either of those weapons. There is no reason to. I really don't understand your train of thought. What makes you think we would use nuclear weapons in this war. Do you really think we need them? I can't help but chuckle about that statement.

I can't predict what will happen...neither can Bush. I think we should rely on the best judgment of our world leaders, not the judgment of one, or two if you want to include Tony Blair.

**** you and your stupid opinion. You have the right so state your opinion and I have the right to say you are a complete moron. People in the military obey orders, that is their job. But hey, this country is free, so dumb ass holes like you can voice your opinions.

People like me that have served in conflict have fought all over the world to try to give other people those same rights that you just used. If I ever saw someone in public saying something like that, I'd ******* punch them in the mouth.

jsgolfer: Your comment is bulls***. Supporting our troops is not like us supporting gas chamber operators. What is wrong with you? How could you even be sick enough to make that completely incorrect connection?
Men and women make a choice to join the military. The only way that an army can properly work is by teamwork. This is not done by vote, the military is not a democracy. People need to take orders and perform their jobs without question, if they don't do this (ie, question the authority of the commanding officer) people might possibly die. This does not make them evil nor does it make us evil to support these brave men and women. If you did support the troops (as you say you do) then you would not be so quick to tell them to "****" themselves. **** you asshole, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Wow, even I don't support the war, but this statement holds no water. People in the military have no choice when called to active duty. I have two friends over there who joined the military to help pay for school. They never thought they'd be going into this, and they definitely don't agree with the reasons, but they HAVE to go.

I agree, regardless of your opinions, we should all hope for minimal casualties on both sides.

Chris

Taking someone's life is no one's right.
Do you people think you live in a perfect peaceful world? Wake up. Sometimes decisions are made for the greater good. If that means killing a few people, then so be it. **** it, give me the gun, I'll do it if it will benefit the greater good.

If this problem with North Korea gets worse and turns into a war, it is entirely possible that the draft could be re-instated. And people like jsgolfer would be the first ones to go to Canada or Mexico. Like a bunch of pathetic scared bitches they are. It's people like you in the nintendo generation that take for granted all the fighting and death that occured so that you could say what you just said. I'm sure you have a great grandfather that fought in WW2. By having said what you just said, you pretty much just said that all of his fellow soldiers died for a worthless cause. You have just spit on their graves. You need to show some damn respect you piece of s***.
