You could get a used MSP....I here they aren't going for s*** these days!!!
(laugh)
Sorry...had to put something smart ass in!
Why don't you try to refinance your car...then the payments may be cheaper...depending of course on your interest rate that you had and the one that you will get.

Considering he only has had it for 6 months I doubt refinancing will do much.

For $10K maybe you can find someone with a 98 integra that doesn't know what they are really worth. Its sproty and extreamly reliable plus its resale is one of the best in the country.

Or maybe a 2001 protege es :D, If you can find a dumb dealer then you can keep the turbo, suspension and LSD :D

I got my MSP in January, just refinanced it and save $150 per month. Dropped from the dealer's bad 8.9% to nice credit Union 4.0%. My payment is just over $300. Maybe keep the car replace with forged internals for cheaper than a new motor, then learn a lesson and go mild on it and enjoy it.

no... cant do that either...

gonna have to take a signature loan to fix my car.. a 3500 one.. that adds another hundred to the car payment that i have now... so instead of paying 485 a month i'd be paying 585 just towards my car...

refinancing wouldn't save me much considering i owe 22,550 on the car and my original loan was 25,000 yeah i got ***** i know it but i wanted the car... anyways.. thats beside the point.

i am figuring on going with a 97 eclipse gs-t i can get one around 7-9 depending on what all is wrong with it..

after going upside down with the msp the car value of the loan on the car i get now will be 14-15k and my payment running me around 250 - 300.. which until i pay off the 3500 loan the payment will actually be 350 - 400.

refinancing will not work.. i'll still be on the upwards of 500 bucks...

ontop of that i'll be moving out on my own with my girlfriend, and i just cant afford to have a car payment that high.

thanks for the support guys much appreciated... i dont plan to buy anything over the net or states away. I got a local guy here that can get me just about any car i want through auctions and things he goes too.. i dont care if the car is a little beat up i can always repair the little thing...

i just love the front end on these cars, and you will save at least a grand over an eclipse, they're just harder to find

no way no how... i barely have enuf time to do the 19 hours of college plus 40 hours a week at work... and to try to through a parttime job in there yeah right.. just isn't possible for me.. besides i have always loved the eclipse / talons...

either would suit me problem is goign to be trying ot find a turbo one that hasn't been ragged out..

Considering your place in life right now, I would hihgly advise getting something more reliable then a 98 talon. Since your moving out with your women and already are in a s*** load in debt becuase of the car then you should either wait to move or get something cheap and reliable.

just becuz im getting a 97 eclipse gts or a talon doesn't mean im gonna mod the **** out of it... wont have the cash to do anything to it really so how would it not be reliable....

It has nothing to do with mods, its just not a reliable car. Poor reliability cost money, not to mention you will be payiong alot more for insurance depeding on your insurance company.

hey man, worried about buying a car over the net?? I'm in Birmingham, I'll drive it up to ya! My civic is pretty nice to. It's super cheap on insurance and gas, doesn't cost but half what you're looking to spend and has all maintaince up to date. Every belt, hose, filter and fluid has been replaced within 1K miles. Can't beat that, plus the car is sporty. Want boost? I can install the jackson racing SC and new clutch at my cost.....This car has everything you're looking for except maybe a turbo....if you're interested PM me....if not someone please buy this car from me! I hear my turbo a-calling me!

Exactly. I bought a brand new 1998 model year GS-T in 1997, and only kept the car 3 years becasue the head gasket went bad after 27,000 miles. It was a fast and fun car, but not very reliable.
