this is the end.

I'm surprised nobody suggested this to you.

If you want a cheap reliable car, and want to stay in the realm of FWD Mazdas, get a 90-94 Protege LX 5-speed. I got mine for $1000, but it wasn't in the best of shape. It's just as fast or faster than an MP3, stock. If you're willing to put more money into it, you can make it faster than an MSP by turboing it. 400whp on stock internals, if you want, too. No need to go forged internals like with the FS.

Welp, its been a great 6 month journey with my msp... well all except this last month were i am having to replace the motor.. I am going to be moving out on my own in a few months and really just cant afford this car anymore. So i'll be going upside down getting a new car, for lower payments etc... its not the end of the world.. im not worried about it.

i haven't decided what im going to get, but whatever it is.. needs to be under 10 grand, that way when i go under on my car the new car will still be under 15 - 16 grand leaving my payments below 300 at least.

So im trying to decide what i should get now.

i been looking at several different things i just cant decide.

i'll eventually figure it out.

anyways just wanted to let you guys know i wont be surfin the board no more.. no real reason to be here.. goodluck to you all.. enjoy the speed..

peace

damn man sorry to hear it.....R.I.P

No offense & I never really knew you, but if you really were a "Complete Protege Junkie" like your avatar says, I don't think you would just abandon this site once you sold your MSP. Who are you selling it to? I cringe everytime I think of someone selling their MSP to some other dealer who probably won't appreciate it or take care of it. Anyway, I hope you get to keep the speed, but either way, good luck.

EDIT: I realize that title may be the one given to you automatically by the site (because Joe has the same one), but you most people personalize theirs. If you didn't agree with it, I assume you would have changed it.

was given by the site never changed it cuz i never thought the day would come. ;) and if you read it.. i said i might try refinancing...
if not im dumping it.. and why would i want to continue on the site without the car... that is a waste of time at that point when i will be on another forum that is for the new car that i get see what im getting at i realize some stay... but i am not like that..

like i said b4 im going to try to keep it if i can.. if not i have other options.

240sx not my style.

i more than likely will do the plan i listed above either the hatchback or a new civic dunno yet.

first and formost gonna try to keep the msp.

May I suggest a Sentra SE-R?? Classics are the best, but hard to find in good shape. 94-97's will also do. 98's deleted the VLSD tranny so that's a waste, unless you're willing to spend a little more on a phantom grip or something to that effect.

Swap in a nice SR20DET and have a ball! They can be bought for around $1700 or $1900 for an SR20VE.

If you must have a 4 door, you could try out an Infiniti G20. Similar car (different platform and frame/body), same swap.

just dont care for the body style of the sentra.... hence why i like the msp so much kick ass body style plus its quick... hopefully i can just keep the car....

Its simple. Sell your car and get one that is reliable and easy to fix, not one that is easily modified or perfomance oriented.

Your just stepping out on your own and trust me you will need every dime you have becuase s*** does and will happen.
You need every bit of back up cash you can get. Remember its you and your women now so you have a responsibility to her.

I thought I had enough put away when I bought my house but I had enough to fix my furnace and then had to work alot of overtime to afford the car I just bought. I finaly recover from that and save up a s*** load. I schedual my car for some serious upgrades and now my company can't afford to pay me and my checking acount is $2K in the hole!!! Luckily I had almost that saved in my savings account and could match the rest with some saved coins I had been keeping for a rainy day. NOw I have basicly nothing and my morgage is do next week ($1500). I am seriously ******!

Again my only point is to buy reliablity, buy as inexpensive as possible. You will need every dime you can save now.

ya and when you commin down, got some new toys that'll bring your head back...lol

should go and buy a brand new Kia Rio.....$7K for a brand new car with 100K miile warranty....I'm thinking about picking one up if I sell my civic....just use it as a beater while I finixh my other cars. Let's be honest, Kia isn't a household name yet, but those cars are pretty good for what they are.

and every bit as reliable as a tuperware bowl ;)..

motor is plastic..

you mean the intake manifold is plastic....so is ford, chevrolet, toyota.....

also, why is reliability a concern with a 100K mile powertrain warranty???

no no no... that was a joke man.. geezus goto the kia dealership pop the hood,, all u'll see is plastic ;)

i know....a lot of companies are using plastic intake manifolds now...I kinda like em! They are lighter and release heat faster. Also they are a little easier to port. .Don't let the plastic cladding fool you, they are actually pretty peppy cars. I'd like one....put some dubs on it, neons....I'd be both fast and furious.
