The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

The tires are Toyo T1R's - an ultra high performance summer tire. I've driven them in heavy rain several times and they do just fine as long as you don't go through several inches of water (that was a scary moment). The tires may be a moot point though as they've been sitting for nearly two years. I don't see any dryrotting going on but I've got this fear the rears may be flatspotted (the fronts were suspended for much of these 2 years).

Haha, not really baller status for an RX-7. "Conservative" fitment is 17x8 + 35 up front with 225 tires and 17x9 +35 in the rear with 255 tires. What is the going fitment for 3's these days?

Hmmmm, harder sell to the wife since I'd have to buy new tires for her too.... Yeah....was referencing baller status regarding my fitment needs. lol To be honest, I'm not even sure. Haven't looked into since putting the RX8 wheels on her car.

be careful, he'd have to bang you 3 times

(rlaugh) Thanks Nate!

Well, the plot thickens...I guess the skyactiv short shifter isn't avail yet. The regular 2010+ assembly is all together different from the new drivetrain...For some oddball reason, the skyactiv diagram looks very similar to the 07-09 speed 3 according to the mazda catalog, but they are different part numbers. I wonder...

Uh-oh....Chris' gears are turning. haha

I love how I decide to look at my subs and I notice there is 3 new pages of this awesome conversation.
As much as I think TBBT girls are all good looking, I would take the Rally girl. She looks like she would be a dirty girl :)

Yesm, something like that anyway. I've been talking to the guys up at TWM about figuring out if we can duct tape/superglue something together and beat it to fit type thing. Next I need to figure out how to take apart the center console and take a few pics of the skyactiv assembly so we can make a more educated guess on what "might" work.

im gonna tell your wife to hop on here.

I've discovered my upper timing belt cover was trying to become one with the timing belt, and the belt seems to have rubbed an interesting cut into the cover.
The cover is no longer a part of my car... i need a new cover.
I think my valve cover was leaking a bit of oil from where the cover covers the cam...pulley...bearings.......covers- i put some sealant on there but i'll bet it didn't do anything.
MSP pedals remain in a box under other boxes-
My J-pipe was making some noise the other day... apparently i didn't tighten one of the bolts that attach it to the pre-cat, or it somehow worked it's way loose.
mehh...
I've been considering spending a bunch of money on a cat-back exhaust of some sort, or just an axle-back (this involves me spending the money and regretting it later), but my exhaust all seems to be fused together, so that's not gona' happen until it decides to fall off.
the pick and pull in columbus got in a lot of mazdas recently :)

i've never watched an episode of TBBT -_-

Waiting for my anniversary cupcake, today is my 2 year anniversary at work. Last year I got a candy bar, this year I saw people getting cupcakes

Who do you guys think is more accrurate KBB.com or Edmunds.com? I've always gone with edmunds because I fell it's closer to the market.

I appraised my mom's vette at private party and a good rating. KBB came back at $21,042 and Edmunds was $9,861. Huge difference and I don't see anyone paying $21k for a '99 base vette convertable with 53k miles

I've got my 10 year anniversary in October. I better get something... My dad has been here since the beginning of this shop for about 12 years and my boss basically said "Yeah, ummm. Thanks.". Haha

But congrats, Peaches! Glad the new job is working out well for you and it seems like they take care of you and you like it there.

Mmmm cupcake... thanks guys, it's nice to wear shorts and sandals in the summer, and make that's what she said jokes with your boss :)

See what people are asking for them on AutoTrader, Cars.com, etc. KBB is a little high but you might be fine in the high-teens according to a quick look on AutoTrader.

My friend a little over 1 year ago bought his Z06 (2001) for $24K with under 40k miles on it. In great shape. I have't seen it or anything, but I'm guessing you could get somewhere in the mid teens. Just from my experience in the car biz.
