The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Jesus christ.......

is there anything ELSE going on in anyone's lives OTHER THAN AUTOCROSSING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

(lol2)

Nope. It's the new hot thing (that no one wanted to do when I did it). That's all you get to read about Josh!

Cool. Are you going to auto-x? LOL jk! Nick are you by chance interested in a speed3 front sway bar for zero dollars? I picked it up for our 3 and never upgraded the rear past a speed 3 bar (and most likely won't) so it is doing me no good hanging in the garage. You would need to get bushings and brackets, the guy wasn't able to locate them when he sent out the bar, I figured I would get them when I was ready.

I already autocross! (lol2)

I would be very interested in the bar. How hard is it to get the bushing and brackets?

Haha....I must have missed that on Sunday! Sophia just peed on herself while I was changing her there...lulz

Forgot to bring it up while we were there, but what's up with the Camaro?

Nothing really, It would be kinda pointless to scrap cause I won't get anything out of it and too far gone to ever make super nice so I decided once we have a house I can use it to learn on since I never have to worry about a time frame with it. Try to make it drivable and maybe learn how to weld some body panels. It would all be for s&g's

yeah there is this karting event saturday that NO ONE is attending....
Sounds like par for the course! Hope you still have enough people attending to have some fun. If we did not have Indy, we would have come out to watch.

Just a quick heads up again, if anyone wants to grab dinner with Justin (the cat with the KLZE red Protege from NH) and I tonight, let me know.

HAH! well considering our group was the reason i was able to get this whole event was even started, they had 5 reserved for us, and we are now down to 3 karts filled... anyone else drops out and im s*** up a creek without a paddle

Well, my new wheels and tires arrive today! Cant wait to try them on . . . but, given the above, I promise NOT to tell you WHY I ordered them. (sssh)

Well that sucks! Where's the event being held? When you say "they reserved 5 for us" is that five spots, or 5 carts? Depending on the location, if they're "up for rent" I could take a spot off your hands... I love karting (which probably has something to do with why I ended up buying an MX-5... hmmm)

If my sister, that I haven't seen in too long wasn't visiting this weekend Jen and I both would have ran a cart. I had un-subbed from the thread so that I wouldn't be reminded that I am missing out on a majorly epic good time.

It's a stock speed3 bar so it should be pretty easy. You could either go through the dealer or aftermarket and pick them up. I had looked them up a while back but the note is long gone by now. I will have to see what year it came off of though since I can't remember.

Ben, I'll introduce you to Marc next time we're out there, maybe Aug 5?

I'm really bummed about missing carting, was really looking forward to it. As it is, looks like I won't make it out to Lime Rock, again...

event is at BeaveRun on the Wilson Circuit
5 karts were reserved, 4 drivers per kart, 2 hour race, + 1 hour of practice and qualifying
each driver on a 4 driver team pays 90 bucks and would have had about 45 mins on track

**edit**

i just got a text from a buddy that is unsure if he can make it now, i have 11 seats filled and 1 open seat, if you want to join in, the seat is yours

Bushings including brackets: http://www.jegs.com/i/Prothane/311/19-1142-BL/10002/-1

or...

Mazda Brackets are Part #: B37F-34-155 and the bolts are 9YA0-21-084A. Not sure about bushings as mine are bad and I don't plan on replacing them with Mazda ones.

That's not bad at all. I will have to price out endlinks since they'll probably need to be replaced as well.

Aww, c'mon now, nothing is EVER too far gone to make nice! It'll definitely be more expensive, lol, but if you've got nothing but time, then you can just chip away at it for as long as it takes. And like you said, the learning experience is priceless!

I'm going to be getting out on MidOhio later this September...

WITH MY BICYCLE!!!

End of Summer Grand Prix, MidOhio Race Course

That would be cool, I'm going to see if I can do that.

By the way, what's the link to donate to your charity ride?

I think by the end of it all the only that would be original is the VIN#
