With all this Auto-x talk going on is anyone interested in going to Toledo to hang out at the Pro Solo this weekend? I was thinking about going not sure if I will go on Saturday or Sunday.
Pablo, I was impressed with your ability to smooth out your driving style so quickly just remember a few simple things. Look ahead as far as you can (you can't go fast if you don't Know where you are going).
Brake hard before you turn in to put weight on the front tires for better turn in.
Acellerate as soon as you can as soon as you can coming out of corners(as you unwind the steeering wheel aply more throtle).
If it were me I would stay on the Conti's for the rest of the season to learn the car and the go to the A6's next year.
If you want to preserve the A6's put them in black trash bags and store them in a cool,not cold dark place.

He speaks the truth! I used crappy street tires my first year. Then my 2nd year I updraded to the Falken R-615K (which is also a awesome street tire for the price), and now running the slicks from Hankook. You learn how to control your car better and not waste your tires. A good tip is if you are squealing you probably aren't going anywhere. Then you can base those driving lines with more speed when you get your r-comps or wheatever...

Marc I live 5 miles from the airport in Toledo and will probably be going out for sure a little while on Sunday and a chance of amybe on Saturday. Give me a text or call when your in the area. Wow for some stupid reason I thought there was a NWOR event, but I was way off and our next event isn't until the 12th of Aug. Hopefully the MSP will be all better by then.

Thanks Marc, it was easier to identify where I needed to make corrections when I rode with you, and I got good tips in general which should carry over to the next event. Bill gave me the tires in black bags, I have them in my storage locker but I'll move them into the apartment before it gets cold.

Yet another reason I'm not getting more tires any time soon... my sister failed the MCAT again, she needs to take it one more time so she can apply to med school. Guess who gets to pay for it...

Yes I am running Hankook's, I think they are called "Ventus RS-2" or something like that. They're around a 200 treadwear I think.

The wheels do look good, are they really mustang wheels or look a likes?

Yup they're real Ford wheels. I just had to replace a bent one tho... cost me like $200 (sad2) But now my cars a lot quieter and the 35mph shimmy is gone.

I would consider having Marc co-drive with you, I'd like to do it again, Will too, they have more experience with meoters. If only I could get Bill out there...

I dont know Marc, but if he's a Miata or roadster guy, I'd love to have him drive with me in the car. Having zero racing background, at least I can see if my driving style is in the ballpark. Maybe you can introduce me to him at the next event?

yeah, that's what I always say, but then when i hear "That last run puts him in the lead" or "That run puts Ben in second place by a tenth of a second" I tend to become rather competitive... I can't help it.

Here's my best run of the day which was a 54.455. After watching the video I think I definitely could've gone faster

Yeah I know what you're saying. For our run group the announcer wasn't very good and didn't tell us what place we were in after our runs, only after we had finished.

Cool. Are you going to auto-x? LOL jk! Nick are you by chance interested in a speed3 front sway bar for zero dollars? I picked it up for our 3 and never upgraded the rear past a speed 3 bar (and most likely won't) so it is doing me no good hanging in the garage. You would need to get bushings and brackets, the guy wasn't able to locate them when he sent out the bar, I figured I would get them when I was ready.
