The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Which makes sense but I didn't see the fact that you had an MP3 ECU initially. Several people that I know who ran MP3 ECU's got better mileage after installation and running the correct fuel rating with it.

Points were made. Too many variables and not enough empirical data to prove once and for all. Next debate...

they have an A rating on on bbb, i've never dealt with them either but I know exactly where it is

I am very confused as to why you were ever _not_ using premium AJ? Did you not know that it is premium only? You were pulling spark and timing for however long you didn't use premium for no reason, and possibly to the detriment of your highly fragile motor.

i didnt run premium because my dads company got him and my family gas for free... so i used what they gave me. the motor is fine, and handling boost just wonderfully right now...

columbus folks: have you heard of College Car Company? off of north high street...there's a car that i'm interested in, but it looks too good to be true, so just wanted to know if anyone has heard or dealt with them?

thanks!!!

I've never personally dealt with them. The only experience I have with them is when Cara went to check out a Mazda 6 when she was shopping around. She said it was a giant piece of s***.

No, I mean the MP3 ECU is like the MSP ECU where it wants higher octane. I've heard that the MP3 ECU comes to live with higher octane. I don't know firsthand since I've always ran 93 with my OEM ECU and the MP3 ECU. I should ask Chris if he felt a difference when switching octanes since he has my old MP3 ECU.

Yep, it made a decent difference. It makes the top end much more smooth. More power?...could be...

been cleaning the garage a bit, wish I could tinker but it's way too cold anyway.

Still no match for beating me in auto-x :) buah ha ha ha ha ha! Still just a wanna be MSP. JK It does run a lot better, but it could definitely use a tune and a intercooler setup. Even on low boost a intercooler will help.
