new manifold for sure! what size turbo do you have now?

if you have an msp you have a T25r and the t3/t4 will not even come close to bolting to the manifold. you will need a new manifold or a very talented machinist.

i have MSP.... some one offered me a new t3/t4 for 175.... so i was just checking...

you'll easily spend 500 just to get that turbo to bolt up to the car, not to mention the engine management issues you might encounter. you would be better suited to checking out a GT28RS turbo

yea i was thinking that.. i read somehwere here to upgrade jsut the wheel would be 250... good gains form that whats the diff?

Why does everyone in this world think the Gt28Rs is god! (upbum) Its like everyone is doing the same god damn thing to there car and not one is ever different. No offense to anyone what so ever, but you may want to come to your own desicions on turbo/mods. Does not seem like many can figure out that 13sec barrier with over 4k invested. Yeah its a good turbo, but I am very sure you could snag up that turbo and look into options of maybe switching the compressor housing for another. You just may find yourself one thats close. Id try a Nissan turbo first and then go from there.

dude....people use this turbo because it is a direct bolt up and it's bigger than stock. chill out man! (smoke)

I actually came across a company that make convert flanges from T2 to T3 turbo's....so if you have the existing T2 (T25r)style exhaust manifold there flange bolts up to the T2 with the T3 style so you can bolt on say a gt30r turbo.....I thought it was nice...I'll look for the site...

yeah but theres no ******* room for it, even if you could bolt it up.

I would get the turbo and just sell it and take the $$$ and upgrade your turbo with something that bolts right up....like a gt28rs(lol2)

what trim is it?
youll need a manifold for sure. then the plumbing on the ic will have to be done.
the downpipe will have to be redone.
im not sure what it will run like with the stock ecu and NO engine management.
i ran mine without engine management when i first got my car runnin after the hibernation. and this thing would take forever to spool not only that but the ecu would flood the engine everytime i got into boost.

T3/t4

Here is my take on the T3/T4e turbo with a 60 trim wheel. It is way to big for a 2.0 stock low boost motor. I have been doing turbos for a while and have seen the exact turbo on a 1.8 Acura take until 4000 rpm to reach full boost. Now the MSP 2.0 wont make that much difrence sice the Acura motors are about the most effeciant motor you can get. I would think a straight T3 or T3/T4b would be better. Maybe a 46 trim. Also then there is the external wastegate to hook up. Dont get me wrong, I am a firm believer in the t3 series of turbos. But unless your running big boost numbers a disco potato turbo will probably work best for the street. Now the good thing. Since it was said that there was a larger turbo put on a MSP and it ran super rich under boost. That meens that the mafs was not out of the range in airflow to read the extra cfm from the turbo. So just alittle adjusting from a afc could cure all issues with it.

What do you want out of the car? If you are looking or 300HP or less I would just stick with the stocker or have MPINick make it better. I think Blkzoomzoom is selling his upgraded T25R for a good price.

thanks everyone for all the sug's/..... however i had a good offer on the t3/t4 didnt know if it made any scnese buying it... anwho the kid sold it.. and well i dont think form all of your comments it would have been what i needed / wanted.

again thanks for all your advice...

love the avatar.
i disagree with the 60 trim bring way to big for our cars. more power less traction problems.
with a 50 trim i get full boost of 1 bar right around 3000 with the stock catback piping. im talking 2.25 and at one point even 2" when dumped its quicker. theres a kat here that has a gs-t that has a 60 trim and gets his full boost around 3500. i love the feel of a lil lag, makes the boost alot funner than it coming in all at once. instead its a getting pulled faster and faster feeling.

somwhere i read osmething like 250$ i could be wrong or that could be for just the wheel... dunno

yep. I somehow like a little lag.

A small turbo will surge the all the power very soon on the rpm band and make you loose traction with some serious wheelspin as it reaches peak TQ with peak boost and no more fun.

A big turbo otherwise, will give you a bit less boost in the high torque areas (low rpms) that will help with traction. As it reaches 4k+ a big pull, way powerfull as it keeps its exhaust flow fluid. Its like a sequential boost.

A .48e t3/. 50 t04b would be good for stock internals, so around 10psi; and a .63e t3/.60 to4e for forged and 15+psi efficiency.
