Sick to my stomach

This is true. Like Dana said "Don't go all Kristin on me." I don't think I'm going to get a car AGAIN without thinking about it a little more first. I didn't think about the first Miata ( 01 LS ) and that was gone in 6 or so months of time. Now I have the MSM that I've had roughly around 8 months and I'm wanting to get rid of it.

This is going to take some serious thought. The good thing about this is the MSM will still be around for a little longer. This is NOT going to happen in a couple of days, a week, or maybe not even a month. I'm going to stick it out for private sale first to see what happens, if it doesn't sell, then I'll take it in for a trade. So, with that said, it'll give me more time to think things through to see where I really want to go next.

(Also, lets not forget the days it'll take to de-mod it. Jesus, I'm dreading that..)

why don't you start de-modding it now, heck, you may actually be able to actually DRIVE it for a change lol

More exciting than an MS6!!(poke)

I've driven both. I still like the MS6 better. I kept banging my knee against the center console of the legacy.. Too narrow of a footwell.

you know it will take a LOT of fuel to actually wash down past the piston rings and get into the oil pan right?

what I'm thinking is happening is, you're getting enough blowby (happens on any turbo motor) that the blowby gases is getting sucked back through the PCV system, getting into the stock oil catch can and from there making its way back to the oil pan

yes, the MSM has a stock oil catch can, and it has a drain back design... its not like a traditional oil catch can where it just catches the oil and you have to drain it yourself manually.... the MSM one has a hose connection at the bottom of it that feeds back to the oil pan

so why don't you disconnect that or get an aftermarket oil catch can first and look at the oil again afterwards

and Edwin comes in with an actual SENSIBLE answer to the original post, amazing

Wow, a response from Edwin without a arguement! Impressive!

I understand that I may be taking this and making it into a bigger deal. But if I know anything, I know how I am. Once my mind is set, it's set. I don't want to think about all the possibilities of what is happening and thinking "Maybe this will do the trick."

You are right on the richness though. I was told if it was caused by that I'd have to be stoopid rich (8 on WB). That is not happening. At idle I'm at a consistent 13-14. I have had moments where I'll range from 10-11 but that's still not rich enough to cause this to happen. I've ruled that out.

well here's the thing Kristin.

How attached are you to fuel economy?

If you like getting decent MPG's a GTO wouldn't be very good for you. Neither would a g or z for that matter.
Fuel economy doesn't exist to me. The Miata destroyed that when the injectors went in ( 16 mpg ). Doesn't bother me.

Fair enough then.

I'd say you are well on your way to a large displacement engine :)

Don't give up on her. I've hated my car for years now, given up on it numerous times, blew her up numerous times, parted it out, re-modded it and everything in between. Hell, after letting her sit for 3 months i took her out yesterday and romped on her a bit, and i loved it. Oh yea, then she decided to start spiking the temp gauge and overheating so i put it back away until it gets torn apart. Again.

But i still have her!

Good luck getting your issues resolved!

If that's not your bag, I don't know how you've managed to work on cars all this time then.

hahahahahaha its mystifying. i say try Edwin's suggestion before blowing more money on another car you'll just hate later.

maybe she should just ride horsies, since you can't really 'mod' them lol (evil)

Yeah, they are pretty much stuck at 1HP unless you give them meth or something.

Yea, and I know a girl that was trying to put hers away and something spooked it and she ended up getting kicked in the face...broken jaw in 3 places...it was pretty bad.
