Should trunk's door open all the way up by itself ?

Hello guys,

I bought a Mazda 3 a month of 2 ago (1.6, year 2004) from the dealer. From the very beginning , the door/cover of trunk didn't open completely (i.e. didn't come up) when I pressed its button. It does , however, disengage and comes a little upwards (1,2 cm) but since the trunk's door doesn't have any handle and has 2 hydrolic rod inside, I "think" by pressing the button the door should completely open and comes all the way up.

The Car has 6 months guarantee, but the dealer refused to take this seriously since he says all the cares are like that.

what do you think?

Mine isn't like that. I have to lift it up myself, and then it stays.

Nope, they're not suppose to automatically open all the way. It only unlatches and you have to manually open it.
