ok guys i have a kartboy shift knob (black) and the Stock 03.5 MSP shift knob......which one should i put on? i had the kartboy on because of the summer heat, it would make the leather wrapping on the stock one shift from the glue heating up....now that winter is comin i may switch it up a bit....what do you guys think? (cheers) or should i get another knob? i also like the 03 MSP knobs if anyone has one laying around that i could remove from the hands......

im on the kartboy ss too btw.

I just got the TWM Classic Satin Weighted knob......It is nice and goes great with the MSP interior...I'll get a pic when I can.It weighs about 1lb. as well..Heavy bastard and looks better than the greddy IMO.

I got the Mazda6 OEM knob and love it.

Hey ONRAILS, your cars production # is one more than mine ... kinda cool we're in the same area and your car rolled off the production line right after mine.

Wow... just saw that! Cool. We should meet up some time. I wonder if they made the silvers all in sequential order.

Is that Greddy threaded or does it need one of those crappy plastic adapters?
If its threaded, then where can one obtain one?
Threaded. Fits like a glove.
You should also buy a new shift boot from the guy in the forum. They look real nice. Apex Motorsports sells them.

The only thing I don't like is the gap from the boot to the knob, but that can be fixed with some rubber bands really easily.

It would make sense, just because the company does a run of cars, all the same, and paints them all the same. Then the next run is a different color. We should meet up some time, but time is pretty lean right now. We'll figure something out.

yeah actually ONRAILS did the rubber band trick and said it works like a charm....i guess for now im gonna stick with my blck kartboy knob until i can save a few bucks up and buy the Mazda6 knob....

Would love to see a pic of that knob in a MSP

I don't have any pics in a MSP, but here's a satin knob in our Mazda 3 shop car with our short shifter and short shift boot. If you find this sits too low, it's height adjustable by 1.5" also. Be sure to check out our other finishes as well at our Shift Knob Website.

I hope this helps,

when is this knob coming out?

type-r-shift-knob.jpg

The weighted Type R knob is scheduled to be released right before Christmas, we're starting the production run next week. We'll be taking pre-orders since we're doing a small run, so check out www.twmshiftknobs.com mid next week and they'll be available for sale. We can't guarantee delivery before Christmas, but if all goes well that's what we're shooting for.

Thanks,

Kevin

damn thats a nice knob. wuz the price and weight on that mama-jama?

The knobs will be available in gun metal and flat black, as well as polished stainless steel and satin finish.

The Type R knob weighs in at about 415 grams or 15 oz, so just shy of one pound. The price will likely be the same as our classic knobs, so 99.95 or 84.95 if purchased with a short shifter kit.

Let me know if you need more info, or check www.twmshiftknobs.com mid next week to order.

Also, we'll be releasing our M1 Abrahms and A6 Leopard at the same time so be sure to check them out as well here: http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs/new-shift-knobs.html

Thanks,

Kevin
