RPM equal length tubular header

Hey All, I've been posting my progress on the TOprotege.com forum and one member told me to post it up on this site.

Here is the pics of the tacked together header the way it sits now, waiting to get the customers car back into the shop for a test fit and to line up the EGR tube, then it'll be ready to fully weld and get ceramic coated.

We are using 1/2" mild steel flanges with 3mm thick 304 Stainless Steel mandrel bends, all TIG welded together with 309 filler rod.

If you have any questions, fire away!

the turbo will remain in stock location, it looks like it?
will you have a bung for the 02 sensor in the stock location?
price?

Yeah, I made a jig from the stock cast manifold so it will be a direct bolt up for the stock turbo. The 02 sensor will be welded into the front of the collector, which I think is where the stock one is? Its been a while since I've seen a stock one lol.
Not really sure if I'm allowed to post a price, so for now I wont.

Nice !!! Might check with admin's and get vendor status so you can sell when price is set. How about doing that manifold with a T3 flange set straight.

Yeah, we can build this manifold several different ways for each persons car setup. For example:

Option #1 - is the manifold pictured above. 1.25" primary tubes, equal length, perfect for stock turbo/engine setups, the smaller primary tubes will help in quick spool as it will keep the exhaust gas velocity up.

Option #2 - Turbo flange of your choice (T25/T28, T3 or T4 divided), 1.5" primary tubes to flow more air for the larger turbos, perfect for built engines with headwork, Turbo flange can be positioned any direction and will also be equal length.

Any headers we make come ceramic coated inside and out.

looks interesting, would love to see the final piece. I love having more options. Any plans to dyno when completed? Just curious as there is another manifold nearing production and competition is good.

Our cutomer who we are building the header for has a completely stock MSP so we are going to dyno it stock first, then with our header installed, then with the header and a turbo back 3" exhaust we are also making for him.

wow, a couple of months ago you had to have a near one of a kind fall in your lap ($$$$) or be made. Now mani's for these cars are falling off trees. Very sweet.

Perfect, exactly how it should be done. Any current ETA on the final product/dyno/etc? I think the other guy's is scheduled to be dyno'd here shortly one of these days but it'd be great to have more options. This would make three direct-fit manifold replacements of which only one currently has been dyno'd.

sub-scrizzle fo'shizzle bizzle. does anyone know the inner diameter of our log mani tubes? How long is each of your tubes? am i correct in seeing a 180 degree and a 90 degree bend in each runner? what material?

I have to install engine mounts and a clutch in the customers car first before we can get some base line dyno numbers, I'll be test fitting the manifold while I have the tranny off.

It's going to be a couple weeks yet before we get it test fitted and dyno'ed.

1moreMPH - its hard to accuratly measure each runner, but they are roughly 12in long. I'm using 3 90* bends and a section of 2" straight's in each runner before the collector. Also it's made from a combination of Mild steel and Stainless Steel

pm me at the end of the week and i will take a measurement for you. i have the engine disassembled in houston.
