RPM equal length tubular header

dyno's will make the decision on whats good whats not so good imo.
I'll keep an eye for dyno's on both sides and make my move.

FYI- can't you do the same design as the MAM's tubular one ?? That design has proven at least good #.

i am seeing some more options for exhaust mani's lately, which is VERY cool. i was going to get me protegegarage intake mani for xmas, but now am thinking to get exhaust mani first. any thoughts from you guys on which one to get first? sorry if i'm thread jacking, but i am really interested in this product and just don't want to blow my wad on the wrong item.

personally, if you can tune it right i would opt for the intake mani hands down. you will see a lot more gain from that piece than from the exhaust mani. but both are good upgrades, and a combination of both mods + higher boost will yield a large smile on your face im sure.

Do you have any pictures from the inside of the turbo flange? Is it a 4-1 style collector or are the runner tubes just jammed together at the flange?
Have you looked at the MAM MSP mani? That is a proven manifold design and in high demand. I'll find the link for you.

Don't forget that the MAM manifold was at 12psi on a GT28R. Stock boost and stock turbo it only made like a 5 or 6, maybe a 8HP gain. It was a beautiful product that woulda been awsome to have if it was cheaper and they didn't over do themselves and end up side down.

If you go to the TO forum you can get more info and a good look at the collector of this manifold. Meh...this link will probably get deleted or mangled but oh well. http://www.toprotege.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36458

Personally I think the MAM mani looks better, but that doesn't mean anything (to me) if this one performs better. Good luck with your manifold, be sure to post the dyno results.

Here is the link to the MAM MSP mani and info. Hope it helps.

The pictures of the collector from the TO Protege site and the ones posted on the first page are not the same. The rear runners seem to just flow right into the flange and not have a collector.

It's funny, the manifold has out lived the manufacturer and it's desire now is 10X stronger than it was when it was introduced. I lurked the board for about 2 years before I ever posted or registered a name. When I bought my MSP mani it took about 3 weeks to get to me. No 1-2 days that is for sure. Then I bought a Sleeper manifold from them and that took about 2 months. My Thumper kit took almost 4 months before I had everything.
I noticed that to about the forwarding to the SU site.

100% Definately not the same...Different angle on the rearsfor sure.

I am sure he changed the design..It looks like originally he wanted it to all come in from the top..but then I am sure the reality of space imitations quickly set in...so It had to come from a different angle.
