UFFF
You can convert it to 5 lugs and disc brakes on the rear for your car. Stock parts for the protege 2002 & 2003 for to those years will fit. But you got to talk first with your mazda parts dealer first for compatibility. Here in Puerto Rico people do that all the time, I think in OEM parts and labor you only spend about $200 tops.

I just put on my ADR M Sport 18x7.5 rims (215/35/18) with a 48mm offset and they fit perfectly.

As soon as I get a damn camera (!)...real soon, though. I didn't realize my car would feel soooo much slower now! Need...more...POWER!!!!!!

thats what happens with heavy rims, and thats why almost all of mazda's vehicles have been supplied with very light weight wheels. some years of miata's were supplied with 12 pounders!! and stock protege 16's are only 15-16lbs.

WOW...I didn't know they were that light...i'm definitely looking to add some power to this things REAL SOON!! Feels like I got 2 400lb cops in the back of the car eating donuts...but i love the look of 18's on it.

yeah, i can feel a difference going to my winter set-up, which is only 2-3 lbs heavier. i am sooo now looking forward to april when i can put the others back on.

Now I'm thinking about looking for those rx-8 rims...I'm sure they're alot lighter than the rims I just put on.
