- 2021 CX-9 Kuro
So on Feb 14th my beloved 2017 CX-9 GT was nailed by someone who decided they could cross 4 lanes of traffic without checking if it's safe. Although the damage didn't look that bad at first, the damage to the body was on both front corners but there was also a side impact on the left rear. Also, the driver's side suspension was completely messed up, the axle was literally yanked out and a few things broken and bent amounting to over $20,000 in damages.
I loved the car, it was one of the best cars I ever drove (only my Supra was better). So I decided to just get another one. So I ended up with a 2021 CX-9 Kuro. And so far so good. Some interesting points about the 2021: The key fobs are bigger and bulkier, not sure why they did that. The street sign recognition system, something my 2017 didn't have, is kinda annoying. It reads random signs and thinks it's the speed, so it often tells me the speed limit is 5, or 95 when it isn't. Which I could just go by the speed limit in the maps like my 2017. It correctly indicates a STOP sign, but it does it when you're 3 meters away, which is kinda pointless. Other than that, it's just as awesome as my 2017 with a few extra features like adaptive cruise control and forward camera and sensors. Also the slightly bigger screen is a bonus. Hopefully this one will be as reliable as the 2017.
