This thread is for the redstripe unit, you might have better luck starting a new thread for the unit you are talking about as they are vastly different.

Hey guys, so I got the same unit and installed it this weekend. (I have a 2007 speed3) the questions I have.are: Has anyone been able to get the AM radio to work? On my unit it gets no AM receptionand the tuner skips every 9 channelsnot sure what thats all about??(shrug) Also the Bluetooth is workingand the LCD is showing the clock and temp.but there is no display for the mode its in (ieDVD.CD.Radio) its just blank in the middle. Also when I go to the option to set the Clock it dose nothing.hit setor the down arrow and nothing happens. Is that supposed to bring you to a new screen? Could this be the CAN+ CAN- issue? Or do you think this has something to do with me having a 2007?

Sounds like the CAN+/- issue as far as the bluetooth and display. Not sure about the AM stations. Who listens to AM anyway?

for anyone running amps with this unit, what wire did you use for the turn on wire? Im not haveing any luck with the one im useing. getting a very bad pop on turn on and I dont have cheap amps. soft turn is working but the unit has to boot up so the soft turn-on on the amps is to fast.

wow...it look really good...wish my MS3 would of at least come with a option Nav system. can i do this or even the top mount Nav on my 09 MS3? i would love to have this. if some can please fill me in on this. thanks. looks good.

I have an '09 and this unit works great (even w/Bose system). You could also do the top mount, but if it is touch screen you have a long reach to use it.

So you loose the trip computer? I didn't realize that it is a part of the head unit.

if you have the trip computer you will lose, the time, temperature, etc...
they will stay functioning

we have tested many mazda3 units and we only know of one that maintains this function is:

So I messed up in the settings trying to get the GPS to work. Now whenever I put the unit into NAV mode, it takes me straight into this white screen touch calibration mode. The screen is unresponsive on this screen, but works normaly in other modes. I can't seem to back out of it. Is there a way to boot into windows CE? Is there a way to force a factory reset mode? Frustrating...
