try building a rotary motor then tell me its better!!!!try having a 400hp motor in a rotary without super tubo lag or 10lbs of torque. just cost to much plain and simple. you see plenty of 400+ hp 3rd gen rx7 but alos a price of 20+ g's. i am on a budget build, talking less then $3000 with buying the car.

Nice motor! And nice car! Just that you put the wrong motor in the wrong car. 
Put that back in the 'stang, and get the 13B back. Hehee.
For what it's worth, my '88 Turbo II is pretty damn fast with the rotary still in it. Now I just have to remake the wiring harness. Ugh.

All you naysayers, the 302's extra weight is also the extra torque it has over the rotary - roughly 100lbs(ft). So your weight argument holds no water either.

The reason to keep the 13B in there isn't 'cause of the power so much as the rotary feeling... It's pretty hard to explain.

I build rotaries that don't blow up ..lol as for the weight the 13b is farther back which helps keep the lower center of gravity. I'm a hardcore rotary guy but it is his car he can do what ever he wants with it, good luck .

haha nice, we have a guy here locally that has about a 95 or so year model black one with a damn LT1 under the hood. I saw him feather the throttle a little one night, and damn talk about drift mode. I dont think i would want a car like that. too light with too much power. but i would like to ride in it to see how crazy the guy is that puts that engine into that car.
