Question about Hardpipes

I was wondering if there would be any drawbacks if the hardpipe(s) were crush bent like this. I'm trying to keep the cost low.

It would be less than ideal because of the fact that your piping diameter gets smaller around all the bends, which means more restriction and less flow. It would work, but a mandrel bent setup would work better.
 
They don't look crush bent to me. But I would think that would defeat the purpose of upgrading to hardpipes if they didn't flow smoothly. I know my local hardware store sells ss piping sections (not sure what sizes) with 90 dregree and other mandrel bends in them. Just have to cut them and weld them up. It is a bit harder than it sounds to try and get everything positioned correctly. But if your a do-it-yourself type person that's the route I would take.
 
Alrighty. I was debating on either using the stock location for the BOV or putting it on the IC pipe along with the MAF. Would my Turbo XS Type S still work if I weld an adapter to hold it?
