CX-5 Transmission: Drain and fill vs flush vs oil pan drop drain/fill?

If you're into the car for the long haul, spend the few extra bucks, get Michelins. As soon as you hit the road, you'll know why.
I agree, I’m very happy with the CrossClimate2’s on my RAV4 hybrid. 45k miles on them and no complaints. The eco Michelin tires that were stock weren’t fantastic but I didn’t expect much from a stock fuel efficient tire :D I’ll likely get CrossClimate2 for the CX-5 as well.

CC2 is one of the tires I was referring to. It's rather poor in terms of noise and rolling resistance (fuel economy), and good but not great in hydroplaning resistance. So if you don't actually drive in snow that much, you paid a premium for not much gain and there were better tires you could have went with. I wouldn't buy them until the CC3 is available, which helps improve on some of these aspects. That might be a hot take around here, but it's my 2 cents.

No worries, thank you for the advice. Per Michelin the CC2 is the US tire and will remain the US model for several more years. I experienced no discernible loss in mpg on my RAV4 hybrid (38-40 mpg) so no concerns for the CX-5 already getting only 26 mpg overall. Never hydroplaned the CC2s and that was the first wow factor I noticed with them in N Alabama. They’re pretty darn quiet in my tin canny RAV4. Random snow that closes our mountain at least once a year makes the 3 peak rating very desirable and the monsoon rains we get make wet traction a must.

Shoot me a PM if you have some comparable options. All of the directional tires I’m finding online that rival the CC2 and are highly rated (Allseason Contact 2, Turanza) aren’t available thru Costco, Discount Tire, Tire Discounters, or TireRack : (

I’ll report back tomorrow on how well the ATF fill goes, wish me luck!
