Anyone have any experiences with them, good or bad? They have a 2250rms at 1ohm on ebay for around $250 so just wondering if it'd be worth my time or to not bother with them. Thanks.

Never heard of them, and those are some impressive specs for a no-name brand, I doubt it is accurate, certainly not at that price point.

I guess they are a legit brand, a search turned up a demo vehicle at SEMA. However, I've never heard of them and I can't find any comparison reviews of their products tested against known brands. So you're pretty much buying blind.

I'd say your 250 is better spent toward an established product. JL is my personal favorite. Cadence and Alpine being my next 2 amp choices.

I've spent about a year now piecing together(window shopping) the system I'm going to be building when I'm out of debt. I don't plan on cutting any corners on quality but I won't complain if I can save a few dollars and get quality cheaper. I'd love to run some Rockford amps but they're a little expensive for my funding for now.

That price is a little too good to be true based on the watt/dollar ratio. So I would be skeptical of the ratting. I have heard of the brand in passing, but no experience with their products.

Goldenboy, I think you'll get more for your dollar by purchasing used Rockford Fosgate amps on eBay than buying a no-name-brand new. The name-brand ensures the ratings are accurate and the equipment will last a long time. I still have some equipment I bought 10 years ago.

I have been a car audio enthusiast since the age of 16 and have never felt the need for more than 500 watts of bass from a quality brand. I would never give up a name brand just to get 2,000 watts. I'm currently running 300 watts for bass and that's plenty of kick for me. Do you want your system to play music for you, or for your neighbors?

With those options, for my neighbors but more so for me. But I'm also planning on running multiple batteries (possibly relocating the primary to the trunk), upgrading all the wiring, adding more speakers and so on so forth. So I'll be running multiple amps, but for a sub I'd like to have at least 1000 rms. I'm one of those people that wants really crisp highs and mids with lows that take your breath away. Rockford is one of the few brands of amps where I've seen what it can do when properly powered and I know they under rate their amps as well. I have yet to find a good price for any on eBay though, more likely bad timing then them not being available though.

I guarantee that my JL 250/1 hooked up to 2 ported 10" subs in my truck (this was some time ago) would outperform any no-name 1000w amp. Most people who heard my system from outside the truck thought it was at least a pair of 12s with 1000w+ and several didn't believe me until I showed them the amp. Even then, many of them wanted to check the other side for a 2nd amp.

In my old s10 I had a cheap 15" that I got at a going out a business sale and ran it off an mtx 200watt 2 channel thunder amp. With 4ga wires, a 500k cap and a dual hu. I had the sub sitting on the jump seats and that thing was still pretty powerful. My buddy and I had the deck turned to 20 out of 40 with bass and everything tuned to 0 and certain songs would take your breath away. I was going through a drive through one day with the volume at 6 and buddy at the window asked if it was me that had the sub. That along with the fact that I had a 4.3l with a high flow cat, 2.5" exhaust and a flowmaster super 44 made it so that people could hear me long before they saw me :D .

For the pro I plan on going with a decently powered 15, or 2 12's, or 2 10's and a 12/15 depending on how I feel at the time. For the subs I want to go spl and I want all sq for the speakers. I'm half tempted to go with an 8" sub with a custom bracket in the rear door panels if I can find a decent shallow mount.

just make sure if you do that, that each driver is getting its own freq range, or the different drivers will just turn the sound to mud.

Planned on it, thanks. Where I live only has a big box store for audio installs so I did alot of homework so that I could install myself. My friend is the same way. We actually have a bit of a following of people that want systems that pound and sound good but don't want to put the time and effort into learning what they're doing themselves.
