Protege5 - Show us your rust!

Typical they all rust in the same spots, I heard that the wheel wells rust starts from the inside and works it way out.

I'm afraid that my car will be a pile of dirt by the time I get home from China.

pretty happy my car got totalled(im positive this is the best thing that could happen). I realize we cant have a car that rusts that bad in canada. I dont have the skills/tools to cut, weld, paint and even if i could, there is so much rust on these cars you are never done with it.

Sad but sooo true, did you see what happened to mine today?

I honestly dont want to look. Im gonna be on the road to Canada on the 15th and i dont want to think about that on my way there. the floor where my feet go seems very sturdy and that is enough i want to know at this time HAHAHHAHA.

Well, what tipped me off was that my carpet was perpetually soaked. I had gotten under the car and found the hole where it was splashing up. When I get home I'll try to get a pic of it again.

eversince i had a problem with my first car i was buying these thick rubber floormats to catch rain and melting snow from my shoes so there is no chance of any of that water getting to the carpet below. i know it looks like you have a outside in problem but it just made me think about my floor from my first car (VW)

Yeah, I had those same type of mats. Need to get new ones this year tho.

I had a hole in the floor of my 83 Rabbit. It had 286,000 Ohio miles tho so you can't be too picky. Haha.
