I had the same problems using the usb port..i finally gave up..and just used my serial cable port.Bigg Tim said:Sometimes a USB to serial adapter will not allow communications all that well. I had to assign a specific port to the adaptor before it would work right all the time. Have ya done that? Is it communication properly?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! have you talked to nick yet???supa saiyan pr5 said:igdrasil: I got a cel light so I figured it was the O2 sensor... the A/f on the MPI is going from 11.0-14.00 maybe every three rotations....it goes idle/idle/idle/drop....it happens on cold start and hot idle...
I installed this kit myself so now im wondering if I missed something?
I dont know!!!! If I cant get this thing to run to a point where I can tune it im going to put it up for sale..

Get a can or two of carb cleaner. Set your idle afr as lean as it will go without stalling. Then spray around all of the tubing and intake gaskets. Look for leaks. You will hear the idle pick up when you find a leak.supa saiyan pr5 said:igdrasil: I got a cel light so I figured it was the O2 sensor... the A/f on the MPI is going from 11.0-14.00 maybe every three rotations....it goes idle/idle/idle/drop....it happens on cold start and hot idle...

If you are cylcing from 11-14 at idle, you have too much fuel at idle. What's you fuel cal at and what is the number where you are idling? I have my fuel cal at 1 and a 4 in the column where it idles. If your fuel cal is higher, just subract 1 for every point higher. At a fuel cal of 4 your idle should be 1 or so.supa saiyan pr5 said:igdrasil: I got a cel light so I figured it was the O2 sensor... the A/f on the MPI is going from 11.0-14.00 maybe every three rotations....it goes idle/idle/idle/drop....it happens on cold start and hot idle...

Click the Global settings at the top of the screen, then the Analog tab then the top of that tab will be the fuel Calibration. The AEngtemp column sounds right, we need to know about that fuel cal, because if you have a 5 in there, it should be like 0 or 1 fuel cal. When you are idling, what is the analog out voltage at? That should be a bar graph on the left of the screen. You want it to be 2-2.1 volts at a warm idle. Give us some screen shots of the anaolg, ignition and sensor calbration tabs (both) as well as your global settings that way we know what cha got.supa saiyan pr5 said:MPNick: I will definately try this...I now remember our talk where you told me to do this(smash)....Matter of fact I disconnected the piping running to the throttle body and connected the original piping with the MAF and it idles the same but when the RPM drops I hear a real bad sucking sound...is this a leak?
Bigg Tim: I have a 1 set at the Aetemp( column to the far right) and 5 to idle..Is the fuel cal. in the global settings? If so...I have to check..
Bazooka: NIck has been a great help...I know he's waiting for me to get this car running also..It's all a learning experience....At least when you get your's I can be of some help...You know the wife is on my A$$ also so the stress is building...And you passed my restaurant last week and didnt even stop...Route14 and 18 in Whitman across from Saftlers my crew was like did you see that silver car like your yellow one, it was hooked up and then I see your mirrored tint..(cool)
